Embark – Unleashed Challenges 2024 – Dogscapes.

For my challenge: Dogscapes, I thought the (dog-friendly) waterfalls around The Blue Mountains would be the perfect backdrop for Echo!! And boy was I right!!
This photoshoot is a dream come true; I just love Huskies even as a kid I would lose my mind over them!!! I kept my cool during the session though, just so you know…
We spent the afternoon chasing waterfalls and stopping along the way to get cute photos like these. However, Echo was more into checking out the waterfalls and his surroundings than doing a photoshoot – There’s a few of Echo not showing his best side, butt, I won’t showcase them in the gallery for his privacy (hopefully you get the joke in there)!
Echo has a lovely personality, very gentle and was the most relaxed Husky I've come across compared to my Border Collie (sorry Zuri), he was so easy to capture!!!
NOAA has teamed with Boeing to sonar scan the wreck U.S.S Independence a WWII aircraft carrier used for target practice and scuttled in 1951 near the Farallone islands. Boeing has supplied the submersible robot sub Echo Ranger see in the photo and NOAA ‘s boat the Fulmar.
I’m actually not certain who’s project this really is NOAA, Boeing or somebody else? The location of the U.S.S Independence is known and some sonar scans have been done previously, however the scans are crude and only indicate a blob on the bottom, no orientation or useful information other than that. This mission will incorporate a new High Definition sonar scanner that will give ultra-high detail images of the wreck. Anyway NOAA’s boat the Fulmar will be towing the Echo Ranger to the Farallones unleashing her and retrieving her. The cool thing is the sub is preprogramed with its mission and there is no real time feedback unlike more Cameron-esk submersibles, i.e. with cameras and constant communication. I will be following this as I would like to link it to a cool story about submarines in Half Moon Bay during WWII which I will pull together in a near future post.
Anyway, when I get bored, a trip to the harbor usually perks me up. Where else would you find such things??

Echo Lake is on the flank of Mt. Evans, elevation 10,500 feet (3,200 meters). It is a popular tourist destination. This is the view from the Lodge, a popular restaurant.
Mum: I liked Berenghia but it is pronounced like the French for shepherdess and I had to learn this awful song about a shepherdess who killed her cat and I can't get it out my head so I decided to call her

El Echo Base es un pedal de delay con modulación de las repeticiones, bastante similar a lo que entrega un Memory Man de Electro Harmonix.
Una de las gracias de este delay es su switch denominado "Tails". Al activar esta modalidad, el sonido del delay se mantiene sonando hasta después de desactivar el pedal. Así se evita realizar cortes tan bruscos entre un pasaje de guitarra y otro.

Echo, Milton, and Dinosaur were saved from slaughter.
Turkeys communicate their feelings in a variety of ways. One is to alter the bloodflow to their necks and heads. The bumps are called caruncles, the fleshy bit over their beak is their snood.
Echo's display and his colors - red on the neck, lighter blue/white on the head and eye area indicate he is feeling content and - dare I say it - proud.
