On October 3, Eats announced their closing, and that their last day of business would be Friday, October 17, 2025.

I've been enjoying Eats since around 2003, when I began going as an undergrad at Tech participating in "orchestra dinner" events after GTSO rehearsal on Thursday evenings. After graduation, after getting a job in Midtown, I resumed visited regularly during lunch. After the closure announcement, I was able to come three more times; the crowds were big and the lines were long during those final couple weeks.

It's already hard to believe Eats is no more. It will be missed by so many.

I think that's the name. They came in from Cleveland and sold sausage sandwiches and meat pies and filled the air with savory, tummy growl inducing smells. The pirate flag rocks.

Homemade veggie sandwich. Better than any deli.

This sandwich is:

I grilled the Farm to Market GRAINS bread and Veggie Slices pepper jack cheese like a grilled cheese. Spread on some guacamole and Hickory Farms Chipolte Ranch Sauce. Added cucumbers, tomatoes, shredded carrots, sprouts and spinach. Hidden inside is a Primal meatless vegan Texas BBQ strip.

Feeling retro since im back in tucson.

Knowing now how well my attempts to locate certain specialized eateries would turn out, we really should have just eaten here.

Veggie bouillon, misc veggies (carrot, corn, broccoli, spinach), egg noodles. Seasoned with garlic, a little bit of onion soup mix, and of course some sriracha.

Of course, I only managed to eat half of it, even though I was "sooo hungry!" Oh well.
