the program has a set dollar amount that heads towards "outings" that our professor chooses. Today it was for a cup of tea at the first tea house in china (roughly $40 USD) which we missed for the film festival. another chunk of that money went towards a fncy pants welcome dinner at a fancy pants restaurant downtown. it consisted of a fuckton of meat with some potato salad-y type thing on the side and some mushrooms. they kept bringing out more and more food to the center lazy susan, piling plates of fish, chicken, pork, etc on top of eachother whenever one would get close to empty. it kind of pissed me off that my money went towards this obviously very expensive meal and there were only like two things i could eat. usually stuff like that doesnt get to me but i know that this was like, at least $50 a head and he knows I'm vegetarian. So i essentially paid for my classmates meatymeals. (I wouldnt be pissed off if i wasnt totally hungry right now haha!)

Kimchi Taco. Every plate carried past the waiting line was followed by envious stares. Wish I got to try!
