A good friend..he drove(in a U-Haul death trap) all my possesions from Toronto
while following me down the Trans Canada highway(401).He never complained though he had good reason..the truck was not the best as U-Haul is noted for..
I didn't know this about them, but soon found out.
I lived in the south east end of Toronto amd thinking that this was a big company and they had locations everywhere it would be easy...
1st mistake..they had us drive to the North/West end of town (Airport) at rush hour to pick up that was an hour oneway as well the agent didn't have a clue!
by doing this it eats in to your milage and good loading time..Thanks! <(Sarcasim)
They do this scam of we'll call you 24hrs prior to for pick up location..which they did not.
I could go on and on..2nd 3rd 4th mistakes..
the truck had a bad vibration at 100km/H..60Mmph...radio didn't work..the a/c was not up to the task..and to boot I was over billed!!..i can't stand dealing with companys with out ethics..I did not try to go after the $60 some odd dollars.
Its the power of ten..tell ten people the story and it will carry on the wind.
The power of telling a friend is repayment enough.

Our second xmas photo this year, the first being with Father Christmas in the Olde Towne section of the Royal BC Museum, but we got an analog copy of that one so no sharing unless I scan it.
Emile is nervous but curious, so I have to be in the shot for his sake. Felix eats it up, and is not bothered by the variety or number of Santas we see.
I didn't notice Santa's massive wristwatch in person. He was good. I have toque hair.

We split a pita with fool (beans), eggplant, and taamiya (felafel). One of the better things we ate while we were there.

One of the best meals I had while on a one day pass from Army training in Nuremberg, Germany, was the one pictured above. We were in a group of about five and decided to duck in to a little hole in the wall for what looked like a place that would serve authentic German food.
We were lucky to be with someone who spoke German, so ordering our food and beer wasn't the catastrophe that it could have been.
