At the head of North Bentinck Arm British Columbia is the town of Bella Coola. There is some floating homes around the area and judging by the firewood on the deck this one appears to be getting ready for winter. The burned pilings belonged to the BC Packers building known as the Old Cannery. The building was consumed by a fire which was deliberately set in June of 2019.

Dallo scorso cambio orario il gruppo Inrail/Fuorimuro è andato a proporsi quale nuovo intermediario nella gestione dei traffici merci per conto di SBB Cargo.
Oltre alla terminalizzazione su Lecco del merci da Emmenbrucke, dal Sempione Inrail assicura una serie di collegamenti verso la Pianura Padana in genere poi condotti a destino da Fuorimuro.
Oltre ai treni di cereali per l'Emilia e Torino, un tempo appannaggio delle macchine SBB Cargo Italia, anche il traffico di rotoli di metallo destinato agli stabilimenti torinesi è passato di mano.
Nella foto la E190.311 è titolare proprio di un corto convoglio da DomoII per Torino Orbassano composto da soli seri carri carichi di Coils. (4/5/16)
The theme this week for our local photography club is “ peaceful easy feeling”. I submitted this one from our trip to Lake Superior in September. In these days leading up to the hectic holiday happenings, it is good to ground yourself in a memory like this while looking forward to the next road trip to find that peaceful easy feeling again.
We're still in lockdown for another three weeks and limited to travelling five miles, so my option of going down easy to Nash Point isn't an option. I really miss the coast at night for sunsets, but have great fun on my cycle rides, especially now the large fritillaries are emerging. Go Down Easy is a lovely song by John Martyn, a slow start to my morning breakfast disco :))))
No one said that tears do not escorreriam by the face, but smiling maybe you can use those tears as spiritual cleansing and let it rain. Rain until the sun reappears and overflow you from light. No one said that you would be able to see clearly everything around you, but smiling maybe you will rediscover the path after tripping a few times. Nobody said it would be easy and its not!.
31-January-2022: when, near you, there are contiguous areas with different meteorological and micro-climatic peculiarities, something is always found (even in a winter that has offered little more than nothing), but you must be ready to seize the opportunities given; this is not easy but sometimes very sathisfactory.
The tail of a cold front from the North, one of the very few that touched the area (always at night, no conditions!) during a short retreat of the African Anticyclone, after having cutted off the Alps and Friuli-Venezia Giulia (sheltered, in winter, by the Tauern chain, in Austria) reformed between the Slovenian plain and the Eastern Karst Region/Northern Dinarides with a series of snow showers in the form of squall-line.
Not for nothing I was there...
As soon as the fast snowfall stopped, I thought I'd take some photos in the only area that is always illuminated in that wide virgin Forest at night.
Artificial light is certainly not like solar one, but, also in this case, it is "of necessity-virtue".
The lights with different tones, reflected from the snow and accumulated by the long pose, create a "carnival" of particular colors.
