To commemorate the the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (TIP) July 30 2019, MyAmerica hosted a speaker program on “Human Trafficking Among the Vulnerable” featuring prominent State Department’s TIP Hero Awardee Maizidah Salas and Yuliati Umrah, IVLP alumna who is known as a champion of children’s rights and anti-trafficking activist to lead discussion on the same issue at MyAmerica Surabaya. At the opening remarks CG stressed the importance of working together to end human trafficking, while Acting Country Attache, ICE – Homeland Security Investigations Shan K Smith also highlighted U.S. government programs in Indonesia to train law enforcement to combat human trafficking. More than 80 visitors, including prominent women activists, parliament members, NGOs, law enforcement officials, as well as general public enjoyed a lively discussion on how everyone can help fight human trafficking, whilst dozen others watched online through MyAmerica Surabaya’s Instagram account. She shared some shocking facts and stories about sexual exploitation cases involving children in Bali that often lead to trafficking. Currently, Yuliati through her foundation Yayasan Alit is assisting the Bali Provincial government to draft specific regulation for child protection in tourism industry. Another IVLP alumna who is a journalist from CNN Indonesia also shared his story of conducting investigative reporting about child trafficking and prostitution in tourism areas. Audiences were enthusiastically asked questions, including how such program can go further beyond increasing awareness about the issue, but also make people undertake real actions to prevent trafficking in their community. Candi Ngetos located at Ngetos village, Ngetos district about 5 kilometers to the south of Nganjuk town. There is an inheritance from the year of 859 Saka or 937 Masehi. This inheritance was made from the red bricks. On that place, Anjuk Ladang, the ancient inscription was also found. Near to this place, there is an historical ancient inheritance that was known by Candi Ngetos. According to the historian, based on that temple form, this temple has made in XV century (Majapahit era). Phisically, this temple has broken and it can not identify anymore. It leave the main of the temple, that has four relief.
This temple is believed as Hayam Wuruk (the famous King of Mojopahit) grave. At that time, he want to be buried in a place which stay in front of the Wilis mountain. This area is one of Mojopahit part. Then Hayam Wuruk has an idea and asked his uncle (the King of wind) named Raden Condromowo and titled Raden Ngabei Selopurwoto, to built the temple. He also asked his uncle to buried him in this temple if he had die. The society around also believe that in Ngetos, there was twin temple and called Tajum temple. But one of them was bigger than the other. It was said that the Hayam Wuruk grave was in the temple that was gone.

Singo Ulung dance is a traditional art from Bondowoso regency that annual performed in Bondowoso anniversary. This traditional dance was created by a respected man named Singo. Singo was name of a person who came from Blambangan.

Brass (kuningan) handicrafts are located in Cindogo village, Tapen district, about 12 km east of Bondowoso - Situbondo. There are many brass handicrafts in this area; for example, it is used to make the colorful decorations for house equipments, ceremony equipments (like Bokor and Gayung) and it also used for various souvenirs.
The brass handicraft of Bondowoso is very famous in tourists. It has beautiful colors and do not easily fade. Those products are also offered to other countries. They have been distributed and exported to many foreign countries.

The hardship from gathering the sulfur into the volcano is merely an "appetizer" for the miners. The load of sulfur between 70 to 90 kgs then had to be carried out of the crater, along the rim and down the hill. A load that most could scarcely lift, let alone climb and walk with. It was a humbling experience to witness such determination in this divine landscape.
