West Pond, Parsonsfield, Maine.
It's spring but it does not feel like spring here in Maine.
There is still ice on the pond and snow in the woods, the air still feels very winter like.
A group of tree trunks that I find interesting, these the are some of the trees featured in my post Woodland Path about a week ago, taken from a different angle.
The ice is finally receding on the little pond at the back of our property. Tried some HDR, but I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with it.

This is my neighbor's Cherry tree, in bloom a good 3 weeks earlier than last year. Not sure I can remember having things in bloom in February before. HTMT!
Pansies are making their debut and will get a nice rain on them today. I found this one on a walk yesterday, at a home with a definite green thumb person living there, lots of pansies, sweet peas and ornamental cabbages.
the blossoms are out but its hovering at zero ..
very cold for us at this time of year
now its snowing .. late afternoon
Usually I go for a walk in order to take some images, but this time I went out to "listen to the silence". It was one of few things I decided to do for myself and I am very glad I did! I really managed to rest and admire the silence of this place and at the same time I returned with lots of images to show!
