It's been so warm lately that bulbs started coming up. I brought them inside so they wouldn't freeze and now it looks like I might have flowers for my birthday. I don't know what kind of bulbs these are so it's going to be a surprise.
The is a more modern side of St. Vincent's Hospital. And of course the flowering pear tree is the signal that spring has sprung!
I was told, when this was given to me, that this is a Century Plant. A friend gave it to me on a piece of cardboard in a clump of dirt...it lived on that cardboard for several years before we moved here and planted it!!! Although it freezes back some in a cold winter, it seems to thrive!
Usual early sign of Spring in western Pennsylvania USA. Smells like its rotten which attracts flies.
