The Dorset Horn don't have to actually have horns! A hornless strain has been developed.

In the first image you can see a big group near the top of the hill: they seem oblivious to the weather. The other pic shows how recently they have been sheared, and I expect they wish they hadn't!

I love the relaxed attitude of the National Trust to the dreaded 'ealth n safety issues. It is possible to wander almost anywhere as long as you read the warnings.
