With some of the tightest track centers around, the GTW is a railroad of inches. While it may seem cool at times, it can also be nerve-racking watching a train whiz by your mirror. Just entering the double track, E275 comes into Flint with a train of empty racks for Flint.
Local 514, on the right, is waiting for E251 to clear the Holly Sub at Durand so they can head south towards Moterm. While waiting a westbound E275 slams by on MT#1 heading towards Battle Creek. The RTC would have both E-trains running west of Durand on both tracks to Bancroft. 3 train moves in 30 minutes to end the day on the CN Flint Sub.
A westbound “over flow car” train from Toronto due to the strikes, is lead by a pair of Canadian National EMD SD70I’s under the Newberry Road Bridge.

CN E275 at caught me by surprise on their way north to Memphis, Tennessee. The solo SD70M-2 had no trouble keeping the tonnage moving.
CN 1444 - CN 4777 shove on the rear of E275 en route to Paris.
275 had stalled around Dundas earlier in the morning, with the crew eventually discovering that their trailing unit (CN 8002) had run out of water....PSR at it's finest!
CN 2337, CN 8002, 125 racks, CN 4777, and CN 1444 for anybody keeping score

Go-Ahead have received route 178 as a result of the tender process and run the service from New Cross (NX) garage, with double deckers now. Although Enviro 400s are allocated, Gemini 2s can also appear.
The 178 is a cracking route with a DD, with the highlight being the Kidbrooke Village development - at the moment it goes right into the building site, which has a mixture of brand new completed flats or a load of dirt, take your pick. The area is also surrounded by flat, sweeping green spaces with water, making it a very pretty place to live.
Portrait of CN ET44AC 3150, seen at Komoka leading train #E275. This unit was delivered with the regular CN noodles on the sides and later had the 'CN 100' logos applied. Of interest - the 'CN 100' logo does not come up to the top of the hood doors as it does on the units delivered from Wabtec with the 'CN 100' logo.
Another set of EMDs - SD70M-2 8927 and SD75I 5776 are on the point of train #E275 as it approaches Amiens Road, west of Melrose.
This was also a practise shot, albeit for a much older vehicle, but typically this turned out better. Still, it meant I could improve on my attempt at snapping an E400 178 back in December and also shows how rapidly the Kidbrooke development is coming along.
