Brett Goldtone's Rocks and Water Gate- right side panel. Atwater Village, CA.
Dinosaur sculpture, Studio City, CA.
The lakeshore in Duluth, MN in thaw. Calm waters. Remains of the ice. They stir like placid sparkly creatures. Gazing, watching them ebb and flow with the water and the dynamic light makes for a relaxing evening. The aerial lift bridge in the background makes it all that more serene in a near surealistic way.
Well, here it is, two days late, but better than never, to wrap up my February 2012 Appsperiment project. Flower captured with AwesomeCamera. Color and contrast tweaked in Snapseed. Ran through DynamicLight's Orton filter twice. Ran pre-Orton version through ToonPaint with an emphasis on the high-key elements. Took ToonPaint result and made background (non flower parts) solid dark grey in Brushes. Blended with Orton version as lightness in ImageBlender. I love the result.
For those of you who have been following the project: I have decided to keep going but I am only going with a caveat. It was very hard to find time every day to take/work on an Appsperiment and I want it to be fun as well as a creative outlet but not a burden or I will quit doing it. So I have decided to commit to creating only 3 a week. I might do more, if circumstances permit, but at least 3. Thanks to those of you who have supported me to this point. Your feedback is much appreciated.

A wonderful view of the river Lea and the Olympic park perimeter fence, with the top of the Olympic stadium visible to your right.
Taken on iphone 3gs, processed in the dynamic light and camerabag apps.

postaljeff: I was thinking yesterday how most macro shots I see are from nature, and how generally looking at nature stuff up close often more easily yields cool results than man-made stuff. Great bark series!
so_jane: So true Jeff! Have you ever looked at microphotography?! Thanks too @postaljeff !
postaljeff: Is that a tag? I've only seen macro.
so_jane: Check this out news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/10/photogalleries/1... micro photos are usually made with a microscope and a 35mm. Though today technology may be a bit further along! @postaljeff
postaljeff: Awesome! Thanks.

so_jane: @vekteris Thank you because, my first instinct is to eliminate the interior reflections with camera angle etc.
vekteris: I like it because in each of the images it almost perfectly parallels one of the overhead lines and gives it added interest--and a moment to say, "how did...ohhhh, it was taken from inside the train. Cool." At least to me.
so_jane: ;-)

Sur le toit du Mémorial, à Colombey les Deux Eglises (Haute-Marne, France)
iPhone4 / Camera+ / DynamicLight
The photo is executed in technique «LightGraphic » or «The painting of light», that assumes illumination of model by small light sources in darkness on long endurance.
Thus, all lightcloth (composition) - is one Photo Exposition, is embodied on a matrix of the camera in one click of a shutter.
This started off as a photo of my bosses' employee award. Let's see if I can remember all of the apps I used - Camera +, Grungetastic, ArtistaHaiku, Dynamic Light, Diptic, iDroste. Lately I'm in a "take a picture of an ordinary item and see what you can do with it" phase. This is one of the better results, but it took probably an hour to complete.
