I got the whole airplane. Decided just to stamp and post as-is so everybody could see a FZ40 "Dynamic Art" HDR right out of the FZ40. You can also see all the dang digital noise I have to deal with.

Nevertheless, sure is a beautiful British Airways 747-400 that flew over the Museum of Flight last July! I just wish SeaTac mornings had these kinda planes flying in - 737s get old rather quick!!

IT'S TIME TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED.

P.S. The photo was taken in Lumix FZ40 Dynamic Art HDR mode.

A photo submitted to the Museum of Flight 2011 photography contest and rejected. This photo was taken in FZ40 "Dynamic Art" Mode - which is an internal HDR mode.

Figure with tomorrow's SAR Demo at 1100 Hours @ Whidbey NAS, this is a timely share. Link to original size if you'd like.

A fav from last August's Seafair Saturday taken in Lumix FZ40 Dynamic Art HDR mode. This picture is out-of-camera + a 2MP downsample + a watermark.

Sure was a great Tacoma Freedom Fair airshow :-)!

Namely N9766Z, a 1953 Dehavilland Beaver DHC-2 MK.1 Seaplane from Kenmore Air. Couldn't believe it until I checked the registry number of N9766Z but here's the same bird I watched in 1/2010 fly its flightseeing sortie from the Space Needle.

Just one of those beautiful sights of Seattle from Kenmore Air. Taken in FZ40 HDR Dynamic Art mode & geotagged to where picture was taken.

Full-size if you'd like to enjoy. I sure do.

The Dreamlifters were built by Boeing Aircraft Co. so 787 parts assembled elsewhere could be brought to either Everett, WA or Charleston, SC for final assembly. It's a unique business model for Boeing that will likely not be repeated.

The historic Virginia V, the Armory about to be the new home of MOHAI (Museum Of History And Industry) and a Kenmore Air Turbo Otter. Same Otter I rode over Seattle.

No kidding. I'm up on this bluff at the intersection of Mt. St. Helens Place South & Cascadia Ave South - which I geotagged for all of you come Seafair 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015... and this is by sheer luck because the SITIA taxi was a total flunkie... so I end up with this vantage point for Friday's practice. In return, I get a good altitude reference of how low the Hornets go over Lake Washington plus I'm probably 100-200 feet closer to "The Sound of Freedom" :-).

This picture is just a small slice of what I got to experience. Trust me, it was a thrill.

Full size if you agree. Links to Seafair Friday Blue Angels and from the Seafair grandstands the Seafair Saturday Blue Angels for more viewing pleasure. Cheers!

I love my big TV, when it is on. When it is not, it is an ugly eyesore. This was an idea I came up with for perhaps when guest are over...I would not leave my TV on all day. I made a few DVD picture slide shows out of various themed pictures. As you can see this one has a floral theme. I have one with pics of alley graffiti and one of some of my dog pics. I put some music to go along with it, which can be easily muted.

Just using one of my Lumix FZ70's camera modes on a favorite subject of mine. Really like the vivid color the HDR creates.

Here is one of my photos from Heritage Flight Museum's 20 September 2014 fly day. Held in conjunction with the Port of Skagit's Skagit Regional Airport Community Day. Much appreciate not just as a Skagitonian taxpayer but also as a Heritage Flight Museum Visual Docent the port's assistance. Hope it's part of a new normal having the Port provide staff and desperately necessary logistical support.

Here you go.... been here a lot the past few months. Twice in July and now once in August. I was also there last March on a gloomy morning.

Here the Harrier is in full hover in front of the Seafair grandstands. Taken in FZ40 Dynamic Art mode - which is a form of HDR. A very loud, amazing sight while the clouds did whatever magic KIRO's Jenni Hogan & Rebecca Stevenson pulled :-).

If you want to see many, many more now might be a good idea to make me a contact because there's going to be a flood of pics on the way. I just need to tag them and start organizing 'em.

Original resolution if you'd like. Enjoy the photoset!

Enjoy even without prop blur. Taken w/ ZS10 Dynamic Art HDR mode.

Taken from the historic Luna Park pier in West Seattle... well worth the West Seattle Water Taxi fare and the walking bordering on hiking with the camera & a monopod. I had to do some serious noise reduction as well, but well worth the efforts. After all, as a photographer, getting Seattle's skyline in the dark from West Seattle was something on my proverbial bucket list...

I adjusted this "Dynamic Art" HDR from the FZ40 for levels & noise reduction. You can really see how great the Blues fly formation - especially at full size.

Seriously. No kidding. The B-17G was around to as an unique heritage flight to honour WWII veterans of my Skagit County, a Skagit County now with a sizable private General Aviation community.

So enjoy this August 2011 scene of the Skagit Regional Airport/KBVS tarmac. Full-size if you'd like.

Since my main ballot may or may not have counted - the county auditor's office is having problems tracking at least my ballot - I went ahead and submitted a replacement ballot to the box.

One amazing sight to see... and will be seen again at Seafair 2012. Picture taken in Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ40 "Dynamic Art" HDR mode.

Sure was an honour to get super close to a B-17G Flying Fortress. One would think this photo could have been taken back in 1943 of a training mission stopping by... and be credible (yes, they had colour film back then - link to a B&W pic too).

One can also get the original resolution of this pic as well.

Yes, the Centennial of Naval Aviation paint job Prowler.

Those two guns were meant to stop Folke-Wolfs & Messerchmitts from shooting down this bomber. Sadly two machine guns versus aircraft packing 6 or more machine guns plus a cannon (or more) weren't much of a defense.

At least that was the plan, but plans change.

Taken by my Lumix FZ40 in Dynamic Art HDR mode.

Decided as part of Jetliner January 2013 to drop some more pictures into the 2012-06-15 Boeing 767-316ER Delivery to LAN Airlines photoset.

Indeed. FlightAware.com even reported this aircraft was well past its 6th hour of flight getting ready to land at Vancouver International (YVR). Some range for a relatively small to mid-sized jetliner!

Ditto for the Panasonic Lumix FZ40 to zoom up and get this picture... in Dynamic Art HDR mode.
