This image was captured whilst exploring Whitesheet hill in Wiltshire.
Just like one of my previous visits the light was changing frequently and as a result cast shadows on various features on the landscape below.
A summers day in the Scottish countryside shot in black and white to enhance the light and shadows with this shot.
An unplanned trip, a proximate destination, a group with a common passion...
These are the elements that made this session special. Scarce with precious time and resources, a trip to the most visited landscape destination like batanes, palawan, etc was not possible.
Then I remembered a friend telling me, why go far when prized landscapes abound the coast of batangas, a 2 hour drive from manila.
These are the takes of a place familiar yet undiscovered...
A place called "La Provincia del Cumintang". A place to catch the beauty and pursuit of light.

“It’s like watching paint dry. We’ve been at this since eight in the morning. Very slow methodical, well thought out and safe,” said David Bukovec, who is the general manager for the project from United Engineering Ltd.

Now that Adobe is supporting the RAW files I've been able to start using my normal workflow on images. I've become even happier with what the 5DIV is producing. Images like this show a much better dynamic range, with a full range of information in the shadows along with a sky that isn't blown out in any way. I wish you could see the detail in the tree on a pixel level. It is really impressive. It's a great camera, despite that somewhat negative buzz that accompanied its anouncement. I've got a new video that highlights my "Picks and Pans" thus far with the 5D Mark IV that you can see here: bit.ly/2cKNl14 or see an image gallery with a lot of photos along with some 4K stills grabs here: bit.ly/2cwFmEX
Technical Information: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Zeiss Milvus 2.8/18mm, Processed in Adobe Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Exposure X (use code "dustinabbott" to get 10% off)
