The NATO Maritime Command-led Dynamic Mariner/Flotex-19 (DYMR/FL19) is an exercise that tests NATO’s Response Force Maritime Component and enhances the flexibility and interoperability amongst allied nations. DYMR/FL19 involves ships, submarines, aircraft and personnel from fifteen allied nations converging off the coast of Spain between 8th and 18th September 2019.

The storm clouds were breaking that evening, and the wind kicked up! Had to put on two hoodies to catch the brilliant Malibu sunset.
Was using the 14-24 mm 2.8 wide angle Nikor Nikon lens! Amazining lens!

A very time consuming shoot, and that's not a pun. As discussed previously with Flickr contacts, getting the strobe light off camera is probably the way forward. The mono treatment rescues the contrast and tones down the white of the metronome body. Meanwhile my EL-100 has eaten yet more AA batteries...

Single shot. EXIF plus Canon EL-100 Speedlite on camera pointed up, 10 flashes, 5Hz, 1/32 power. Almost dark outside, no room light, set manual focus on the metronome numbers. Raw file into Affinity Photo.

Week 42/52 - 2015 Edition Theme: HDR (High-dynamic-range) October 15th to October 21st 2015
For this weeks HDR theme I visited the Church of Our Lady of the Wayside Kilternan, Dublin, Ireland, locally known as the “Blue Church”.
I took the photo using the in camera HDR function in my Nikon D5100. Had to change the camera settings to turn on the HDR function. This is my first HDR image.
I also tried out the Multiple bracketing function on the camera.
Unfortunately, there was no blue sky. I then took some indoor photos in the Church. When I came out it was raining, so I just got my photo in time.
