My rainbow to choose from. Next time I dye fiber, I'm going with blues and greens. The pink is also pretty intense, so that may make an appearance.

I did an art major on the 'journey of hair'. Rummaging through the back room of my auntie's hair salon I found a box of miscellaneous bits of hair and dolls.

Back near Rangjung we stopped at a shop that makes & sells cloth & clothing. Wow, the stuff was gorgeous! And expensive. We didn't buy anything but asked about how they dye the silk. The owner lead us down to her workshop and brought out the different materials she uses in the dye process. I've forgotten the plants she uses but was fascinated by the richness of the colors they produce.

bread + circus eggs + dudley's colouring cups (dye pellets + vinegar). i didn't mean to use brown eggs, but it resulted in a very arizona-watercolour type of colouring. pretty nice.

the bowl is handmade (thrown, glazed, and fired!) by one of my roommate's girlfriend. so beautiful and japanese inspired.
