i've been doing wordy things lately i dunno all of a sudden i'm nervous to draw sorry dumb this isn't a blog bye
I got a day to watch trains in November 2004, so I headed toward Marion, Ohio, despite crappy weather. I was messing around in Columbus and came across Ohio Central 3567, an F40 and a Gp35 switching in the OC yard and stopped for a shot. And then I kept going. Which was dumb. Marion was fine, but if I could go back I would have followed that MLW all over town.
i've been listening to joe meek all morning. well, the same 5 songs (chickaroo, the bublight, have i the right, dumb head, valley of the saroos)
so I got myself all dressed up. but, no plans or people to see.

Lest there was ever any doubt that Buster is not the sharpest tool in the shed -- he frequently gets "trapped" upstairs at our new house. He looks at us downstairs through the balcony and whines, but can't figure out he has to turn around and go down the stairs to get to us.

I went to the front for too long, got gapped, then managed to work up to twentieth? The headwind was so strong that the pack just stalled there, no one on the front able or willing to advance much.
Then there's an accident and I slow and move to the right a little bit, make it past the rolling bicycles and feel like I won - www.flickr.com/photos/swoo/3417798725/, but then someone comes sprinting from about 70th, rubbernecks the accident and manages to hook his handlebars into mine.
Dumb is
a.) Not looking towards the front or where you're headed during the final sprint
b.) looking only about ten feet ahead instead of adjusting the sight range with speed (I'm guessing by the way he's swerving )
c.) riding in a crowd on the tops? - about a sixth of the field favors this position...
One is not safe until one has gotten off the bike and into the car! This happened so quick I just got flipped onto my shoulders and my legs didn't get scraped up at all.

As my photo's text says, one of my contacts has already accidentally deleted comments when she had wanted to be replying.
Having Reply at the top is a perfect example of ivory tower design by someone who doesn't actually use the code at the website.
The same dumb-ass design comes into play when wanting to edit a comment we've made.
Edit is in the middle, between Delete at the top and Permalink at the bottom of the choices.
In all these, the most commonly chosen option should be the closest to the three dot menu button to reduce chances of clicking on the wrong option as the cursor moves across them.
I wondered if this design would make more sense to someone using their phone to view photos rather than a computer's browser. That would entail finger taps on a touch screen.
But I think the potential for wrong taps is greater given a phone's smaller real estate.

Just about watched this lady kill herself. This train came to a stand still at the crossing as it was entering the yard. This genious walks up and is like "fuck this im going to crawl underneath while its stopped". right before she got over to the gap between the hopper vents the train took up the slack and jumped about a foot. she jumped about a foot in the air aswell. then not realizing she was standing on the second set of tracks on the main, another train was coming around the bend which she almost got hit by again. To top it all off, after both trains cleared the crossing, she got hit by the back end of the crossing barrier as it went up and fell in the snow!!!
