Interior of the Elizabeth Parker Hut in the Lake O'Hara area of Yoho National Park, showing the clothes drying rack and the group bunks for sleeping, which are largely occupied in this photo by a Japanese alpine hiking group, British Columbia, Canada, Elizabeth_Parker_Hut-4 [Note: No model releases available; for careful editorial use only]
Patterns abound, almost invisible, like habits. Every house has them, surely. In mine, they're sometimes cornered, hidden in shadow. Just as often, they're in plain sight, like Poe's purloined letter, and no matter how hard you look you see nothing at all.
Everyday.

More counter space! You can never have enough! I did have to use 2 bricks as a counterweight (plenty of free bricks in our yard from where the weeds exploded the brick garden walls on our concrete patio).
We recently added a 5th water filter to the water duty station. The point of having so many is that you can fill several gallon jugs in one trip to the kitchen.
And yes, our drying rack is sitting on an old refrigerator shelf. I'd rather the water fall on that than our counter -- it's icky enough already. I had some refrigerator shelves left over from when I saw a fridge on the curb on the way to my old job, and took its shelves because one of ours is broken (i.e. stuff fell from the shelf, through the hole, into the drawer).
In case you're wondering why that fork is nailed to the shelf -- that's Carolyn's cat food dispensing fork. No need to wash cat-related forks, or mix them with the human forks. that's gross. Mainly, I was excited that the fork had holes in it, and could be hung.
Full recount of this yard sale expedition at clintjcl.wordpress.com/category/hobbies-activities/yard-s... ... We got tons of stuff not pictured here. We spent over 6 hrs, drive over 70 miles, spent almost $80 on over 60 items, and got close to $400 worth of stuff!

This is a great little set of 2 sock stretchers / forms, used typically to dry wool socks on. I love using these as decor items as they look great hanging on your wall as is, or with some additional decoration. I have a pair I use during the holiday season as rustic Christmas stocks, I just hang them with a bright red ribbon.

Also from TOSSS we bought sustainable kitchen items. The pot scrubber is made from bamboo and the scrubby part is made from biodegradable plant "plastics" and can be thrown into a compost pile and changed out when it's past being used! Also bought biodegradable plant cellulose sponges and a bamboo pot scraper.

I got 2.5 loads of laundry onto this bad boy! We currently have it in front of our heater and I have a box fan blowing on it to help it dry, as our apartment is on the cool side. The only things I washed that I couldn't fit on this were two sheets. I am super impressed at how much I could fit on here.
I wear a variation of the same outfit every day. Simple cardigan (lest someone at work get offended by the sight of bare arms) over a v-neck or brightly coloured tank top. (I'm currently obsessed with these pocketed ones from the Gap). Dark skinny denim, or dressy bermuda-length shorts + Vans sneakers of some sort.
I just washed that Nikita jacket because I realised that I'd worn it all snowboard season last year, and never washed it.
I never wash my jeans, hence the lack of denim representation in the laundry
During a brief lull in the pandemic, Denmark and Norway were "green" and safe for careful travel. During that period I rented a car and spent just under two weeks driving from Tromso, through Senja, then up past Alta to Nordkapp, before returning to Senja and Tromso. These photos showcase the beautiful greens of Norway's Arctic North in the peak of summer.

Two lip balms from 100% Pure, made from only natural, not gross ingredients!
Powder from Alima, made right here in Portland, OR. (IN PORTLAND YOU CAN PUT A BIRD ON SOMETHING AND CALL IT ART!)
Powdered face mask from Camellia Beauty on 47th & Fremont. Just have to mix water (or milk, yogurt, honey, whatever) with it and it's a mask! SUPER cheap because you're not paying for the liquid part. These are the only masks I buy. I usually take my own container in and fill it up, but I forgot today.
They each put out 50cfm, which is plenty of airflow to dry the suit. Props to Jen for finding a good rubber connector for the fans.
A theatrical worker simultaneously entertains tourists and preserves her cultural history while walking through a rack of drying cocoa beans at Belmont Estate.
During the production of chocolate, raw cocoa beans are first fermented in dark boxes, and then laid out under the sun for drying. To ensure the beans dry evenly workers walk through the racks several times a day - shuffling their bare feet beneath the cocoa beans to turn them over.

Siesta. Mercedes truck parked in Husshertown as drying rack.
A Mercedes Benz e 200 is parked behind.
The best part about hand washing Pyrex is seeing the nice color combination that ends up in my dish rack. :-)
