Drupal 8 starter day #d8day

added zh-hans language using drupal's translation admin. switching languages using i18n module gives me these big square blocks instead of chinese. The web-browser is set to UTF-8.

Using drupal 46, i18n downloaded 20Feb06.

This server is using MySQL5, php5. I loaded the database from a MySQL4 drupal installation, but tried deleting the chinese translation and re-adding it.

We are actually using "FeedAPI":http://drupal.org/project/feedapi with the "CSV parser add on":http://drupal.org/project/parser_csv to parse the 6.5MB csv files that have all of FEBP's data, and then we are storing the data in "Flatstore":http://svn3.cvsdude.com/devseed/sandbox/drupal-6/flatstore/, a custom module that handles dynamic schemas, exportables, default views integration. "feedapi_flatstore":https://svn3.cvsdude.com/devseed/sandbox/drupal-6/feedapi_flatstore/ is the bridge between flatstore and FeedAPI.
