After rolling the console into storage, the safest place to store the top section is - on the top. It was too tall to go in the truck without removing it.
This is an improvised DJ/live set using only the Elektron Octatrack, Machinedrum and Monomachine. Everything is done live. No additional effects or mixers were used.
The Octatrack plays back time stretched loops and samples. At the same time it sends out MIDI clock to the Machinedrum and the Monomachine. The audio outputs from these two units are connected to the two input pairs of the Octatrack. This makes the Octatrack function as a powerful mixer and effects unit in addition to being a sound source.

Runs on +/- 15V like the original. Ran out of room in the enclosure for the batteries. I like using batteries with audio gear whenever possible because you eliminate the problem of regulating AC ripple, which usually require large electrolytic caps.
At normal gains you might not hear much AC ripple from something with a normal 120 mains step-down transformer, like say in the original MXR flanger. However modern compression techniques will bring out that 60htz hum in your mix.
So here using modern fast OPAMPs and +/-15V higher voltage (better signal to noise) is the ultimate audio path for recording the Linn LM-1, LinnDrum, Linn 9000 and Oberheim DMX original samples.
The CEM filter chip used can be switched in or bypassed. I added some extra features to increase the HiHat function. Instead of one HiHat pitch/env channels there are 3, two for a tight, mid tight then open HiHat sound.
Currently loaded are the 66 original samples covering all original sounds from the machines and any extra expansions I could find online. There's room for another sound EEPROM to double this, but I'm already using 99 MIDI notes with the mapping of the samples already loaded.
While the analog volume envelopes are multiplexed, the single voice channel out is not, for the most uncompromising in accuracy of audio coming out of the original AM6070 DAC.

Labeled mod points on the monotribe main board. Looks like it should be simple to add individual outs and decay mods for the drums. Now I just need to figure out how to do it without it being ugly. Prob a db connector to external box

The machine breaks down into three sections, fortunately. This is the largest and heaviest; in includes the monitor and the main electronics.
The main hook is from the trucking term "push/pull", the idea of securing loads with chains pulling in opposite directions.
The rest of the lyrics are from my atheistic views and the Stephen Hawking idea of the beginning of everything, the math equation that zero is equal to zero.
The title is a line from the movie Ghost in the Shell 2 Innocence, "no matter how far a jackass travels, it will never come back a horse."
The music is from listening to #nineinchnails , #orgy and the like and my general #edm influences.

In 1998, I loaned out my 707 and when I got it back, the DC input adaptor pin was broken. For 11 years, the 707 lay in the closet collecting dust.
Scouring some forums, I found these guys - www.vintageplanet.nl/ - who were able to provide a replica part! Thanks to Senso at Vintage Planet for bringing life back into the 707!
The repair was quite simple, a few screws here, a few there, and some solder.
