A mini scale Aliens Dropship and APC.
The model can carry the APC and the missile pods all flip out.
The Classic Space version is on LegoIdeas since Oct 2021 and you may support this project to become a set here:
ABOUT:
For an M:Tron version I changed the mechanic vehicle into a more M:Tron like trailer fully equipped with a crane, fuel tanks a moving platform and tools of course. The containers where necessary as well as the magnets. The Galaxy Dropship has also two magnets in the cargo bay (in the front top) so it may carry two containers as well (in addition to the lab or the buggy).
Maybe you can drop me a comment at LegoIdeas telling me what you think of the "old" Lego space themes in a neo modern look and if you like such an approach which of the old themes you would prefer. It would be very interesting to me. Thx.
[DESCRIPTION]
Talon Dropship units serve to transport our units for the most efficient responses, driven by our expert pilots.
This is getting close now. I rebuilt the tail and the landing skids, and detailed the weapons pylons on the sides, and roughed in the rear thrusters.
Thruster shot, railgun shot, and a close up of the pilot dude drinkin' some fresh hot coffee before unleashing cosmic destruction.
Don't really know where I'm going with this, just fooling around in LDD...

My third dropship.
The best feature: It is swooshable! (when grabbed in front of tail or under both main wings)
The second best feature: It has noseart!
And the fail feature - above the rear door, there is a winch. But it is nearly impossible reel it back without disassembling the top section of the ship. :(

Lego "Antares" is a 3in1 space creator set proposal at LegoIdeas uploaded on August 2021. If it becomes an official set, you could choose to build from 3 different scenarios: the Mining Outpost, the Galaxy Dropship or the Repair Bay. If you would acquire the set 3 times you could build every scenario at once and form your own space station. The picture shows part of the 3sets built (as the tower control or Blacktrons are not displayed here but are also part of the set proposal).
If you like it support it at LegoIdeas.
The AV-96 Vertical TakeOff and Landing dropship provides a faster albeit more costly form of transportation across and within New Hashima and surrounding Sectors. Maintained by a crew of three, they work for the highest bidder, whoever that happens to be at the time.
Side engine design taken from Dryvvall.
Built for New Hashima

Lego Star Wars Imperial LA-CH MOC
My minifig scale MOC of the Imperial LA-CH - or Dropship - based on Artwork by EC Henry 😍 and carrying two modified AT-ST's by @ldd_modelmaker.
I have no exact part count, but I think it is about 3'700 pcs - 1'800 for the ship; 1'300 for two Walkers and maybe 600 for the stand.
Most delicate is the stand and the balance of the Gunship on it. The ship is "front-heavy" and the space between the Walkers only allowed for one Technic beam of width 😮.
But after rounds of stripping the ship down to its bare minimum of bricks, I achieved an nice balance to stay levelled.
A great thanks to @ldd_modelmaker for allowing him to use and mod his AT-ST's 💯. And as always, EC Henry and and Angelos Karderinis for sharing more details and renders 🙏.
Check out my earlier posts for the MOC of the Imperial LAAT - or Gunship - also based on Artwork by EC Henry.

18 months after building the "Dichotomous" two-pronged starfighter www.flickr.com/photos/brickron/33051307938/in/dateposted-... I have finally built another space-themed model that I want to upload. This is also Mars Mission themed because I only build with the Lego in my son's parts hamper, which has a couple of old MM sets and a good selection of white parts. My son wanted a landing vehicle for his tiny Mars rover but I felt more inspired by the dropship from the film Aliens, and Star Wars type ships.
I'm on vacation and I had a picture of these dropships laying around on my iPod and I really wanted to test what I can do just via a handheld device and some free wifi.
I want to sticker these up a bit when I get home too. They're from a microspace cruiser that didn't make it, but I do want to give it another go.
Here it finally is! My Pelican dropship. It's mostly based on Blur's render of the Pelican in Halo 2 Anniversary.
Features:
It can carry 10 passengers and 2 pilots.
It can open up to easily access the cockpit and troop bay.
The back door can open as well.
It can carry a Warthog, a Wolverine or any other small vehicles or 6 weapon pods . Sadly the scorpion is to heavy.
The front wheel can fold in and does suport the weight thanks to the front "support legs" that is connected with gears to the wheel.
The back "legs" can also fold down but they does not suport the weight of the craft. Instead separated suport legs that can fold in does the job.
The wings and back thrusters can rotate.
Front weapon can be adjust.
This has been a challenging build and my biggest so far. The bigest challenges was to get the wings to rotate in a good way and don't fall off. Another challenges was to get the front wheel to support the weight. The third and last big challenges I had to overcome was the fact that the only half of the ship is able to have contact with the ground while the other, much heavier part, is mostly free hanging. All these problems really changed the way I hade to build the whole thing. The way I manage to have to back being sturdy connected to the front may not be so special but the one that can guess how I overcame the weight problem will get a cookie.
And as a last little note: Yes, you can swoosh it around.
Hope you like it!
This was built a year ago for Milo. He was sick of me getting freaked out if he touched any of my builds and wanted me to build something just for him. Its pretty simple and robust for playing. He got a Halo Pelican for Christmas after this was built but keeps coming back to this one. There's a lot of lego there that I just want to steal and use in a new build but seeing him play with it for over a year is more rewarding.
Features posable turbine units, bombs, landing gear turrets, and bending neck.

I'm back from 2 weeks away, took another look at this and want to make some changes. I'm thinking the big flap bit that opens (A) doesn't look sci-fi enough and doesn't fit the style of the previous Rigelian ship I built. So I am going to move the opening flap to the position currently occupied by the grids B and jazz it up to feel weirder and more arcane. Then I will be left with a space at A which I am not sure what to do with...

The Blacktron version of the Galaxy Dropship. Check out the details and more pics in the update section of LegoIdeas:
Near the end of The War, aeronautical manufacturers Advanced Weapons Group and Gaerlen Heinz collaborated on a beefier version of the fabled GH-23 Cricket. The AWG/GH 55 was about 20% larger, featured heavier armor, and advanced avionics. However, the largest differences were the addition of a tail and stabilizers, and rotors (vs jet propulsion). The new 55's didn't have the top speed of the 23's, but were just as maneuverable and much quieter.
The 55T Mantis featured the same frame as the Cricket variants, with the addition of heavy weaponry, and of course the two seater cockpit, room for a pilot and gunner. In addition to the upgraded arms, the Mantis could carry five Marines into or out of battle, and use them for fire support.
The 55T Mantis brought much needed aerial firepower to the battlefront, in addition to flying the same mission set as the Cricket- and Marines loved them just as much.

Here it finally is, my first Hibernia build! The rover was inspired by Pierre E Fieschi.
Dropship heavily inspired by Elysium, sorry for the shitty pic , I will try to get better pics of this one and also I think it needs stickering :)

Typically used to deploy squads of drones into combat zones, this particular dropship has been converted into a mobile home and laboratory for Trattorian refugee Dr. Amelia Drummer.
This is the 3rd space theme I made. Check the details of the Galaxy Dropship set proposal at LegoIdeas (there see "updates" for the different versions) and if you like it please support it:

Here's how the APC fits onto the dropship. I kind of don't like the fact the wheels are so obvious, as it makes the whole thing look a bit like a funny looking bus; but I can't think of a way round that.

WMI Military Intelligence Report 03052104
FLASH FLASH FLASH
WMI Intelligence Priority Report:
South Angolan Nationalist Desert Strike Team Ordinarily Riding Machines (SANDSTORM) incursions continue into the Nambia conflict zone. A massive force of Uberpowerfull Koma drones have been observed deploying through out the region.
They appear to be autonomous with no human companions, these drones are spreading like locusts. While they have not engaged the WMI directly their proximity and growing numbers can only lead to one eventuality...
Report Ends.
For Franky C we hardly knew thee...
Also Andrew is a dick and made me do this instead of MocAthalon (though I may try to fake this into an entry somehow)
I’ve been working on this MOC for sometime and he’s a couple of WIP screenshots. This is a sequel to my earlier Rigellian ship, but bigger :-)
It’s inspired by some Rogue One concept art and it’s a dropship, so the four yellow technic beams you see emerging from the bottom can move in and out to grab a cargo pod which extends forward under the cockpit.
You’ll see the smaller wing is really only roughed out but the construction will obviously mirror the big one. It needs a bunch more greebling but the overall structure is pretty much there. The central part is much more advanced and it’s very solidly constructed and should be pretty strong.
If anyone has any comments let me know!

The Galaxy Dropship is the 2nd alternate build possible from the bricks of Antares. The Blacktron add-ons that come with this possibility are displayed in another pic. Antares is a 3in1 space creator set proposal at LegoIdeas uploaded in August 2021. If you like it please support it. It is free with no obligations. If it reaches 10000 supporters it may become a set available at the stores.
The Galaxy Dropship scenario consists of the dropship itself (space fighter Delta9er plus cargo bay with wings make out the dropship). Furthermore a truck tows a trailer which may hold either a plasma or a fuel tank. A space lab which acts as a small control centre may be docked to the hangar. both tanks may also dock to the hangar.
The Galaxy Dropship may hold in its cargo bay the truck, the trailer with or without plasma or fuel tank or the space lab. But it does not end there. More infos at Legoideas!
