These are the Mandeville flowers. If you’re able to see it good, think of it as an eye exam. Have a great weekend, stay safe and enjoy life. I thank you for stopping by.
.....legend has it that this distant cousin to the koala will drop from the trees on unsuspecting tourists caught staring up at them, ready to lash out with razor sharp claws, and hoping to to devour them as a tasty snack!

Due to a quirk of light and where I was standing, this drop of water hanging from a spider web appears to be half full.
Better not, it might break my foot! 😅 A couple of words about my experience with this strange (and cumbersome) lens:
This is a giant and heavy motorized zoom lens originally used in a Noritsu minilab. I (clumsily) removed the motors and adapted it in a very haphazard way. From a conversation with Robert OToole I knew that I had to brace myself for heavy chromatic abberations and so my expectations were somewhat muted already.
It‘s safe to say this isn‘t a great lens to adapt. It also stands to reason though that there are interesting shots to be taken with every lens imaginable. So keeping that in mind I didn‘t try to go for maximizing IQ but rather just have fun with the lens. That goal was certainly achieved, you be the judge if the shortcomings of this lens (or my misuse) ruin it or not!
Shot with a Noritsu "Zoom NC 3x-15.6x" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
BB Z631 sets off its inbound train for CSX interchange at Clifton Forge. Once a large C&O terminal with shops, things are a bit sleepier here these days. However, a fair amount of carload traffic still flows through here.
When our Minnesota skies will soon drop copious amounts of white manna that will obliterate most colors in nature, it is with some desperation that I seek the last shots of color.

Well, it's really an ice drop, frozen before it could let go of its yew needle.
But, admit it, it does look a bit like a snowdrop.
Enjoy the tiny bubbles inside!
