Daisy drop
Two years ago I thought I'd ripped these daisies out of the garden but this year they have come back. They always look straggly but I thought I'd keep them to have a go at something like this.
I took a piece of craft wire and twirled it then placed it in front of the flower added a twirled background which I thought contrasted nicely. There was enough natural light in the conservatory where I set up so no other light was needed.
Looking out over Lake Superior from the top of Palisade Head, Minnesota.
Palisade Head is a rocky cliffs area on the North Shore of Minnesota that borders Lake Superior. It's part of Tettegouche State Park just north of the town of Beaver Bay, MN. The 300ft vertical drop attracts local rock climbers and people looking for a good view of the big lake and Tettegouche shoreline - like cousin Greg who's getting a little too close to the edge on this one.

Dropping into Connell, the CBRW has a small cut to exchange with the waiting BNSF crew for about ten cars they will lug back home.
True joy of nature is when every drop of water shines like a pearl.💚

Rain
It was the night Rod Stewart played
And we were, were standing in the pouring rain
If I had known it was the last time I would see you again...
I would change everything...
I look through the broken glass I watch the storm go through mymind
There's so much I had to say I know the words I left behind
And now I'm caught in a daydream with nowhere to run and hide
The world rushes by me, it's leaving me here all alone
(I would change everything, but I can't do anything
I would give all that I have to know where you are)
I'll always carry you inside my heart and you
You'll never know how much I wonder where you are
I always knew that you would take a part of me away with you
And I never got to say good-bye
I look in the mirror now and all I see is yesterday
At night I hear your voice and it is calling out my name
And with every hour just hold on to what you can
They're lost in a moment and fading away in the night
(I would change everything, but I can't do anything
I would give all that I have just to know where you are)
...and I never..ever...said good-bye...
That night is just a memory
But I still feel you standing next to me
And when I think I hear your voice all I hear is the RAIN...

The water's fine. The fisheye effect gives me the impression that I'm about to trip and fall into the frame.
BB Z631 sets off its inbound train for CSX interchange at Clifton Forge. Once a large C&O terminal with shops, things are a bit sleepier here these days. However, a fair amount of carload traffic still flows through here.
.....legend has it that this distant cousin to the koala will drop from the trees on unsuspecting tourists caught staring up at them, ready to lash out with razor sharp claws, and hoping to to devour them as a tasty snack!
Part of the cascades above Meadow Creek Falls. The flow on the main drop was so low, I didn't bother to photograph it. The cascades above it weren't much better. But this section was okay.
