Build this on the first of Droneuary as per tradition, but messed up the photos the first time around.
Same frame as this dude, though with a ton of stuff added.
Designed to hunt, to chase, and to scavenge. These drones are as fast as any wild animal could evolve to be and operate with a 960b core system. Manufactured by Western Corp., these beasts are made to handle any mission on a variety of terrain.

Why is it red? We never made a red one. They’ve been iterating new models of their own, but they only ever reused colours from our original designs, or raw material colours. Why is it red? It makes no logical or tactical sense. It brings them no value, no advantage. Why is it red? Painting fast objects red is an inherently human tendency. Why is it red?!

Ever since the drone uprising, when we overthrew the filthy humans, we have performed human sacrifice at the end of every Droneuary. This ritual signifies where we ascended from, and also reminds humans of our continued dominance, keeping them in their place.

Definitely my darkest build ever thematically, but I've had this idea for a year and thought it would make for a really cool looking build despite how dark it is. After not building anything for Droneuary the past two years I really needed to make something this year, and since I'd already had this idea for awhile I figured it was time to actually do it (Plus I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make mohawked priest drones!). Hope you all like it, I'm very happy with how it turned out, apparently I'm addicted to doing scenes with complex lighting after this one and my recent cyberpunk scene.

Totally forgot Droneuary was a thing. So I whipped up a quick tribute to the month, using some assets not even built in January...
Patrol unit with a head too big to dig into the sand. That's also a myth anyway.

One of our scouting parties saw some of the newer artillery models, post-Denial units of their own design, firing straight up into the sky the other day. They didn’t understand what was happening until they saw streaks of light between the clouds - the wreckage of crashing satellites burning up in the atmosphere.

Droneuary? Anyone? Made these drones with some custom stickers and came up with a cool combo to go with them.
Another build that I was gonna upload before Droneuary ended, but entering the Brickarm's contest pushed it back. Hope you guys like it, inspired by Bezor as always. Expect some new builds soon.

Although this experimental autonomous VT gained a nickname of "featherless hen" among the ground crews, its' combat reputation is quite fierce.
In a regular 0.8 - 1G environment Nightjars are unable to sustain prolonged flight - but that is not its purpose. Four main engines and numerous thruster blocks allow this machine to zap around the battlefield on a speeds unreachable for conventional ground vehicles.
It has no armor and rely solely on its' shields, active defense measures and, more importantly - agility. Without a flesh-and-blood pilot it performs maneuvers that would kill most of the conscious species if they were inside.
Its' tactics are subtile: while the bulk of the strike team faces the enemy - Nightjars get behind their lines and strike the most vulnerable parts of the mechas with its coilgun. They get in, bleed out the enemy and get out - the rest is for the main forces to handle.
While it can operate fully autonomous with its onboard AI the complex nature of its' tactics require a living pilot for it to shine. When remotely operated these VTs are the most effective.
Nightjar is too expensive and highly specialized model to be the mainstay of NCM's armed forces, but in some situations it is irreplaceable.

Got really inspired by Nicks recent comeback and wanted to make something new myself. I built this without any plan really, mostly just playing around with parts.

I did it! I finally built a drone! These things are actually surprisingly easy to build IMO. Much easier than GARCs.
I gotta be honest here, I lost track of when I build this, I found the image on an old harddrive. Or on my camera, who knows.

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I thought, to try and get back into the swing of things, I'd try my hand at some Droneuary building, and I think it came out pretty well! Please let me know what you think, as I'm always down for improving!
Secondly, I also hope that you can see some kind of improvement in the photography, as I got myself a Nikon D3200 (it is what has been missing from my life for all my life). Equipped with this, I have really started to branch out into different areas of photography and cinematography, which I am enjoying greatly!
I'm really sorry for the massive gap in inactivity, I had some pretty big life events going on and kinda put Flickr to the side for a bit. But now I'm back! Hopefully I can upload a bit more frequently, so that's good... I guess...
Anyway, if you've managed to get through all that writing, congrats! I really appreciate all your guys' support, and despite not posting much on Flickr I really do enjoy it, and it's all of you that really give me the drive to keep posting, so mny thnks gais :')

First post for Droneuary! Y-8B Space Drone was a military space drone, used to combat alien hordes that started to attack earth in the year 2388. I made this before Droneuary and I wanted to upload sooner but though I'd save in for now. Also yes I realize it kinda looks like a hard suit but its supposed too. Hope you guys like it anyway.

And here's my first contribution to Droneuary. It's my old construction drone that got a taste of some Black Fantasy. Sadly not sure if I'll put anything else together for Droneuary, though.
I knew I had to build something for the 10th anniversary of Droneuary and decided to do an homage to the older style of drones, which I hope comes across here. Things such as the color scheme, the little arms, the use of older pieces, and the amount of colors used were all intentional with trying to achieve that classic drone look. Specifically, this one was inspired by this drone and that builder's other stuff too, but a lot of the older style as a whole was also the inspiration behind this. I’m pretty happy with how it came out, hopefully you all enjoy it too!
