Ik werd op deze murals gewezen door een dronepiloot die de Deltsblauwe mural filmde.

Volgens mij zijn deze geschilderd op het oude Dolfirama.

It was October, five years ago. The sun was slowly but surely cutting through the morning mist, draping the landscape in a soft veil like powdered sugar. The green still lingered as autumn settled in, with winter just around the corner.

n November, almost exactly five years ago, I went out with my drone early in the morning, searching for good subjects. On this day, I was a little further south, heading toward the Bavarian Forest. I think it was a wonderful start to an autumn day in our beautiful landscape. The small village, with its old tower and church, blends harmoniously into the backlight.

It was in September four years ago, when the days were slowly getting shorter and you no longer had to get up quite so early to catch that perfect early-morning atmosphere. In complete silence, this aerial view looks out from my hometown toward the Bavarian Forest, with the first mountain silhouettes visible in the background. Flying a drone is fun on its own, of course—but the photographic perspectives it opens up are truly priceless. Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the weekend.

While exploring the Isle of Skye, a visit to the lighthouse at Neist Point was high on our “must-see” list. From a distance, I tried capturing the scene with the drone — in this shot, you can clearly see the winding footpath leading to the lighthouse. The view out over the vast Atlantic carried a special kind of atmosphere — raw, calm, and endlessly captivating.

Taken in January 2021 above an old quarry, this image reveals a small quarry lake surrounded and covered by a blanket of snow and winter silence. From the ground, the scene seems ordinary—but from more than 100 meters up, the drone uncovers a hidden beauty: algae trapped beneath the ice create a soft green shimmer, forming the shape of a frozen green heart in the lake. A quiet, perfectly still moment, only visible only from above.

I deleted the former version, the quality was not good.

Aerial view of a beautiful tree

The landscape of the Upper Palatinate also offers, from time to time, some truly rewarding areas to explore by drone. Here, in a sparsely populated and hilly region, the scenery at times feels reminiscent of the Alpine foothills. It’s early November 2022, and winter is already on its way — yet a touch of color still lingers in the leaves of the last remaining deciduous trees.

n my hometown, there is a water reservoir used for generating electricity. This aerial photograph, taken during a magnificent sunset in September 2020, captures the reservoir in a stunning light atmosphere. The scene also reveals the rolling hills and the expansive floodplains of the River Pfreimd in the Upper Palatinate.

A pumped-storage reservoir stores water at a higher elevation to generate electricity. During times of high demand, the stored water is released to drive turbines and produce power. When demand is low, excess energy is used to pump water back into the reservoir.

This photo was taken in December 2023 in the Bavarian Alps during a training course. Because of the effects of climate change, it was rare to find such a pristine, continuous snow cover at that time. The ski slopes were still closed, allowing us to freely explore the area on snowshoes—a truly memorable experience. In the foreground, you can see a charming small chapel nestled at the foot of the mountains. I quickly launched the drone in the morning before our hike to capture this serene moment.

A drone shot at Neist Point on the Isle of Skye, great time there

September 2022, just after seven in the morning, in the Bavarian–Czech border region. There’s that sense of anticipation — wondering if the sunlight and the ground fog will come together to create the perfect scene. And then, for only a brief moment, it happens: a fleeting miracle of light at dawn. I was lucky to capture it that day — perhaps you’ll like this image too.

Stunning coastal views, with the famous Wedding Cake Rock in the foreground. This striking white rock formation, known for its unique, layered appearance, stands out dramatically against the surrounding landscape, resembling a wedding cake from certain angles.

Three years ago in October – how quickly time flies. I was out early in the morning in the neighboring country, the Czech Republic, with my camera gear. About an hour before taking this photo, a large herd of stags and hinds crossed the small winding road right in front of me. Scenes like that can still be found here in the Czech Republic, but back home they are a very rare sight.

At one spot, as the sun began to break through the mist, I had a feeling it was the perfect place to capture a beautiful autumn atmosphere. When my drone pierced through the fog, I was rewarded with a breathtaking view.
