This was the pile driver that was putting wooden piles down for my neighbours new house (rebuild). After shaking everyone to bits in nearby houses they then had to put concrete piles in. When the Geo-techinical report was done on my house they found that there is a layer of sand 15m down that has very little frictional resistance, so is probably very waterlogged and could be an aquafier. So if there is another big earthquake these piles may be next to useless.
Our engineer said that we only need a wide gravel bed to sit the foundations on as the land is better than it should be.

I recently watched Baby Driver and it’s such a great movie, I recommend you watch it. I’ve seen it 5 times now and it still hasn’t gone stale. I also love Edgar Wright and hope to make more figs from his movies.
