Phographed in the back of the chauffeur-driven car with the second pair of their sextuplets to leave the Mowbray Maternity Hospital. Mr Rosenkowitz holds Jason, the biggest of the six babies, and Mrs Rosenkowitz looks after David, the oldest by a few minutes.
South Africa's first sextuplets, three boys and three girls, were born alive and in good condition today to 25-year-old Mrs Susan Rosenkowitz of Three Anchor Bay in the Mowbray Maternity Hospital.
The sextuplets were delivered by Caesarian section by a team of two surgeons and two theatre sisters, with two anaesthetists in the theatre. Six paediatricians took over care of the well-formed babies the moment they were born on Friday 11th January 1974.
(The sextuplets were born after Mrs Rosenkowitz had used afertility drug. ‘The six (in order and with their birth weights), were David (2.020 gms), Nicolette (1 260 gms), Jason (2 080 gms), Emma (1820 gms), Grant (1 880 gms) and Elizabeth (1.980 gms). Sole rights to pictures of the babies were sold to a magazine group for five years, and Mr and Mrs Rosenkowitz were contractually bound not to talk to the Press during that period)

Last steam driven woolscour left in Australia. Building started in 1908 and the plant operated until 1978.
Wool scouring washed the wool after shearing to remove lanolin, dirt and other impurities.
These contaminants could account for over 50% of the weight of the fleece.
The cleaned wool fetched a higher price and allowed more wool to be compressed into the wool bales thus saving in freight and shipping charges per ton of wool.
I've driven by this church a bunch of times and even tried to capture this shot before, but failed. This time, I think I nailed it. The spotlight throws a shadow from the statue of Jesus onto the cross, effectively crucifying him. When I saw it, I couldn't help but wonder if it was an accident or done on purpose. I'm still not sure.
I made this "glowing" effect by simply spinning the lens during a slightly extended exposure. I think they turned out well.
Also, some of these are duplicates with the white balance and exposure manipulated in post production. I'd love to know your opinions on which are more effective.
