Keyboard-driven Prog Rock outfit Kyros (nee Synesthesia) led by vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Shelby Logan Warne (nee Adam Warne) took the audience in Cambridge by storm with a great set drawn from their four albums so far. The power-house rhythm section of Peter Episcopo on bass and the incredible Robin Johnson on ferocious drums and percussion drove the show along at a frenetic pace demonstrating just how tight this band are now as Joey Frevola added fluid guitar over the top. The infamous acoustics at the Portland did them no favours, sadly, with the keyboard lines and guitar licks barely audible at times. Still an enjoyable return to full-on live gigs!

Driven by the power of competition, Soldiers of 39th Signal Battalion and HHC, USAG Benelux pushed beyond their physical norms May 19 during a quarterly training event. In addition to urban operations, teams also had to carry a Soldier on a litter to a medical evacuation point; they had to react to an improvised explosive device; perform a tire pull and push a dead Humvee to the finish line. Team 6 from 39th Signal Battalion came in first with a time of two hours and 15 minutes. HHC, USAG Benleux’s Team 3 came in second with a time of two hours and 21 minutes.
