Anyone who's driven along the QEW between Hamilton and Niagara Falls has seen it ... apparently starting life in 1914 as a river ferry it was converted to a floating restaurant in 1991, abandoned in 1997 and finally burned in 2003.

Heavy winds were flailing on the flag today as the setting sun lit it up. By the way, that is the sled run you can see in the background going out on to the lake. It goes so far out the snowmobiles cross over it sometimes.
i've driven by this building countless times in the year that i worked on brannan street, and always thought it had quite a bit of character. on the way to work, i would make a mental note to stop and take a photo on the drive home, but i was always too tired at the end of the day and i had only one destination in mind and that was home.
anywho...6 months later, randomly driving down brannan street...there it was. i didn't have any where to be, so the dwan elevator building and i had our long awaited moment together.
