How many glasses will you have? ;p My choice would be my favorite Asti champagne.

This was the bar at the Mori Tower in Roppongi. They also had a live orchestra serenating you while you enjoy the view.

We have snow! I'm impressed by how effecient east coast is in shoveling snow off the roads compared to seattle. We were driving all around yesterday with no problem. Walking around in slush, though, is no fun. ;p

Mini Danbo was helping Big Danbo with his drink, what a team XD

I drink alone, yeah,

With nobody else

I drink alone, yeah,

With nobody else

You know when I drink alone,

I prefer to be by myself

The other day I got invited to a party,

But I stayed home instead

Just me and my pal Johnny Walker,

And his brothers Black and Red

And we drank alone, yeah,

With nobody else

Yeah, you know when I drink alone,

I prefer to be by myself

Everyone please stay safe and practice social distancing .

It's not a choice, it's national and world duty !

This is a prime example of why homeless people should not drink and push.

All shots are taken with my old Pentax Zoom 280P that I used 20 years ago.

Here's a Crossbill taken before the lockdown. It was drinking early morning from a puddle that still had a mosaic of ice from the previous night's frost. Alas it was against a really bright sun but the up side is that it shows the bill outline perfectly. I managed to capture a droplet of water falling from his bill, and it does not look like the cleanest of water as it looks amber. I just mentioned "his" bill, and I expect many of you will be thinking this is a female, but it is a first year male with a rather yellow plumage. The white wing bars identifies it as a first year. He was accompanying a female (with a very grey head) and two recently fledged juveniles.

Birds also vary in their need to drink water as some birds get the water they need from their food. But Crossbills have a diet largely of dry seeds, so need a ready source of water. Often the best photographs of Crossbills are while they are drinking at pools as they spend most of their time high in conifers obscured by foliage.

Another shot of the stuffed big boy I posted a few days ago that was descending from a kjopje. This was where he was heading and after he had his drink he went back up another kjopie and took a well deserved nap.

Don't you just love his wrinkly stockings?

great tit ~ parus major

The great tit is on the RSPB Green status list.

Observing ospreys usually involves seeing them diving for fish. This osprey seemed to dive, but suddenly began to drag it's talons and took a much needed drink on a very hot August day in Florida.

Another round of hotel living, including time in the bar, with handheld shots and slower shutter speeds.

Castleton

This old water filled stone trough would at one time have been used as a drinking place for horses and cattle. It’s situated on a track just outside the village of Castleton. The water is still quite clean looking despite all the plants growing in and around it.

Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

So, this is a wonky, sort-of, who-in-the-fuck-would-drink-a-concoction-like-that version of a black 'n tan. After a few inklings that my liver didn't want to participate in my beer drinking activities quite in the way it used to, I started mixing no-fun beer with my fun beer so I wouldn't have quite so much fun.

Thought I should clarify: this all goes into a glass in thirds.

Hell man! I can't see why this song wouldn't be quite appropriate here: 'Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers' - ZZ Top
