The last stretch of the walk was hard going as the snow had drifted right across the path. Quite deep in places as you can probably tell.

I was having a little trouble with my tripod because it was frozen shut, and the drifts were so deep that the tripod was almost all the way down in the snow. Thankfully, I found this spot where I could use the forced low perspective to my advantage! Next time I need to carry a mini-heater just to be able to use my tripod in these conditions!
This peace of drift wood i found at the Rhein close to the village Istein in the south west of Germany...
After about 6 years, this Drift rRse still surprises me with unusual colors. The variety is called "Popcorn" and is supposed to be white with yellow shading around the center. In my garden. Dec. 2020.
On my way home the last miles of Utah were quite an adventure. While sunny there was lots of drifting snow in front of the next winter storm moving in.

Let's hear some love for the Oregon Coast Range!
This is Drift Creek Falls in the middle of the Coast Range near Lincoln City. It's a bit of a strange spot, with a huge chunk of the rock face below the falls having fallen into the creek a couple of winters ago. Up close it's pretty overwhelming, but with a wide angle lens the gigantic boulders don't look quite so intimidating. I included the suspension bridge in this image because it's part of what makes this little three mile hike a lot of fun. This is what I did on Easter morning, so it wasn't a bad weekend at all. We had a lot of drifting earlier this week in central and southern Alberta that shut down highways all over the place.
BRUGGETJES MET HEKJES, DRIFT UTRECHT
De Drift is een gracht en straat in de binnenstad van de Nederlandse stad Utrecht. Ze sluit aan op de Kromme Nieuwegracht in het zuiden en heeft haar vervolg in de Plompetorengracht in het noorden. Vandaag de dag wordt ze doorsneden door de doorlopende weg/busbaan over het Janskerkhof en de Nobelstraat; vroeger was de Drift als verkeersader echter van meer betekenis.
De benaming drift staat oorspronkelijk voor een weg waarlangs de boeren hun vee naar Utrecht dreven. De gracht werd tussen 1390 en 1393 samen met de Nieuwegracht, de Kromme Nieuwegracht en de Plompetorengracht gerealiseerd, waarschijnlijk om de ontwatering van het gebied te verbeteren als voorbereiding op de aanleg van de bebouwing.

08 Is Coming, Can We Foretell What It Carries Within It ?
Expectations, That's The Natural Human Sense,
