About a week or so ago I finally ordered myself a dressing table and this is it in the shop!!

I've been searching and wanting a glamorous dressing table for as long as I can remember but could either, never find one that I loved or I just couldn't afford one. My lovely item won't be delivered to me until the middle of March but I don't mind, I'm so excited I could burst!!

I love it's 1920's feel and the way it's vintage yet also modern looking. I can't wait to fill it with all my beauty goodies and will definitely do a follow up pic when it arrives so you can see it in all it's glory :-)

This piece is oil on board and mixed media, with the use of staples, craft paper and old paintings. I have used a lot of etching, layering and scraping on this painting. finished with an Australian hard wood frame.

It was painted as a series with matching piece 'white on table' and was inspired by a bedroom. it takes you to a dressing table with comb and perfume bottles.

Italian dressing table of the 20th century. Furniture in Louis XVI style richly inlaid in rosewood, palisander, walnut, maple, mahogany and fruitwood. Dressing table finished for the center with four legs. Top floor in character with oval mirror supported by side columns with bronze ornaments and decorative cups (see photo). Furniture ideal to fit in a room. Dressing table which is part of a complete bedroom set (see photo and ask for the block price if available). It shows some signs of time and small veneer lacks. Overall in a fair conservative state.
