Notorious for the Dred Scott decision.
(Not Taneytown's namesake Taney, he's from a different branch of the family.)
Reprocessing some old Canon 10D photos from way back in 2004,
DRS 'Dred' no. 66426 leads the 4M07 10.02 Tilbury - Daventry Tesco Express.

Direct Rail Services 'Dreds' 66423 and 66427 are seen waiting silently outside Dove Holes Quarry. I understand these are the current 'Super Shunters' for the complex.

A little history...Construction began in 1826. Probably the most famous case held here was the Dred Scott case. Now it's a museum.
I just recently discovered this effect and how to achieve it in PS. I'm having fun with it.
This is a very good example of what matted dreads look like on a man who has chosen to grow his hair out and lock it up. Interesting enough men don’t get as much love in the black hair game as women but they should especially since they require just as much time, energy (and products) to keep it up to maintain the style.
This little girl is needle felted from Natural New Zealand Romney wool that I dyed yellow with Kool Aid. She is 2.5 inches; her nose is copper embroidery thread and I needled in some dangly bead "dreds"....
Incorrectly hoping for some choppers, my consolation prize was DREDs early crisp light. 66431 and 66432 approach Colton South Junction with the early morning 3S26 06.35 Knaresborough to York Yard. 25/10/18
The live canvas from the "Castle Nights" event at Castle Cornet in Guernsey. It is Permanent marker (red and black) and gold marker on a bought primed canvas.
The event was only a couple of hours long, so not everything was finished by the time we had to leave.
I added in the final details the day after and here we are.
Big Black thanks to the Big Black Cloud for the superb photography.
Still hanging on to its DRS Blue Livery 66415 sits at Preston on the rear of a 6YXX Crewe Basford Hall-Blackrod Engineers train.
66419 is on long term hire to DRS to cover for the loss of damaged 66428. Seen here at Euxton along with 66302 working the 4S43 Daventry-Coatbridge Tesco Liner.

Starlings preparing to roost at dusk near Plovan in Brittany. There was another similar flock of starlings behind me. Sturnus vulgaris.
The lack of light made this a difficult picture to capture as I didn't have my tripod with me and the biting cold made it very unpleasant.
