Dream Date Barbie 1982 Made in Taiwan
Questa Barbie è di quando ero bambina. Me l’hanno regalata per Natale, proprio nell’82. È stata una sorpresa enorme perché non l’avevo chiesta.
L’outfit è originale ad eccezione di un orecchino (preso su ebay) e delle scarpe (erano nel lotto MI-gennaio 2020).

This Barbie is from my childhood. It was a Christmas present and a huge surprise because I hadn't included her in my letter to Santa Claus.
The outfit is original except one earring (bought on ebay) and shoes (they were in the lot from MI-January 2020).
I really prefer Dream Date's face paint to the other PJs--She has green eyes, but since everything else is painted blue (the make up, lids and eyelashes) it gets washed out. Also her eyes are rather large giving her a 'googly' look.
I'm think about repainting her to look more like Fashion Photo PJ
Kayser 1950's vintage long nightgown in peach nylon.
Here is a lovely 1950's vintage long length nightie in peach coloured nylon and made by Kayser. The bust and straps are prettily adorned with embroidered floral and lace insets, as well as many layers of nylon ruffles - see the photos, as is the flouncy hem. The waist can be tied to either the back or front.

I tried my best to use up coupons and scope out sales and clearances as much as I could....with the month nearly half way gone I think I am going to stop here :)
At Sallys they had Sweets hand lotion on clearance, so I picked up Orange Cream Frosting. I also picked up Fingerpaints - Prints and Printsess, which is a gorgeous weird peachy orange jelly base with shimmer.
At Walmart I got Revlon Primrose lipstick on sale.
So CVS was so kind as to send me a $3 coupon for my birthday, I spend that on Revlon Guava and added $1 off coupon, used my 76 cents that was left on a gift card so I ended up paying $1.25 for Guava, super cool! :) I also picked up Confetti Dreamdate and used CVS $1 off coupon for that. I had 2 coupons for NYC so I picked up the limited edition polishes Hint of Mint and Midnight Amethyst.
Made a stop into Walgreens to see the new Revlon fruity scents nail polishes and newest Sinfuls...while I was there I picked up Wet n Wild nail polish set The Wonder Yellows which includes a free quick dry polish and I also found the very pretty Revlon Modern Grace (periwinkle color). As for the Sinfuls, I got Queen of Beauty, and from the Beverly Hills collection Beverly Hills, Verbena, and Paradise.
Random finds: Old Navy tiptoe polish in LimeSlush, Rimmel's Climax, Target had the newest Sally Hansen polishes on clearance so I got Delphinium, but I paid full price for Nicole by OPI's I'm a Belieber. I found some old NYC polishes at Dollar Tree - Paparazzi Pink glitter and #104A. At Hot Topic's I picked up 2 nail polish duos on clearance, I got Sweet & Sassy, White Lie (these are amazing, the pigmentation is awesome)
One of the first 5 "Dream Dates" - part of the series - from the date gardens at Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley.
After some good music and good food, it's time to head back to the Dreamhouse. It was such a wonderful evening. Chauffeur picks them up as they are already tired. :)

Comprato su ebay nella primavera del 2020. Dopo un Ken biondo ne ho voluto uno moro.
È arrivato completo di tutto, mancano solo le calze (A dire la verità ne manca solo una, perché l'altra l'ho trovata in un mercatino, cerco disperatamente la sua compagna!)

I bought him on ebay in spring 2020. Besides one blond Ken I wanted one with dark hair.
He arrived all dressed up, only the socks are missing (To tell the truth, only one is missing, because I found the other one at the flea market, I am desperately looking for his partner!)

In fondo in piedi c'è una Barbie Tennis che ora non ho più (non ci ero particolarmente affezionata).
La Gymnastic è stata il mio primo acquisto ebay da adulta.
Le altre sono tutte Barbie della mia infanzia.
Si possono notare vari pezzi mancanti (la Gymnastic senza scarpe, la Roller Skater senza calze, la Dreamdate con sabot di colore diverso, parecchi gioielli mancanti...) ma a tutte avevo fatto il trattamento all'ammorbidente per togliere il crespo dai capelli.
Quasi sicuramente a quella data avevo già anche 2 Fashionistas, ma non ricordo come mai non le abbia incluse nella foto...

The first photo of my collection, dated February 2014.
In the back there is a Barbie Tennis that I no longer have (I was not particularly fond of it).
Gymnastic was my first ebay purchase as an adult.
The others are all Barbies from my childhood.
You can see various missing pieces (the Gymnastic without shoes, the Roller Skater without socks, the Dreamdate with different colored sabot, several missing jewels ...) but they are all clean, and I had done the softener treatment to remove frizz from their hair.
Almost certainly at that date I already had 2 Fashionistas, but I don't remember why I didn't include them in the photo ...
The Ken is actually Great Shape Ken, but I just dressed him up in the Made For Each Other set. I lost the ascot, unfortunately. Great Shape Barbie is Great Shape Barbie.
