The Ana Kai Tangata cave is of note because in the back left wall cave paintings depicting birds, mainly manutaras, can be seen. The paintings were drawn using natural earth pigments and animal fat, but the high humidity of the cave has harmed them almost to the point of erasing them.

A summer's eve in Steveston Harbour , BC Canada

Steveston is a charming fishing village that is situated in Richmond BC, on the Mighty Fraser River

Canada

Definitely one of British Columbia's best kept secrets.

If you enjoy quaint fishing villages, combined with light and vibrant colours, I am pleased to extend an invitation for you to browse through my.... 'I 💖 Steveston album'

This is the actual colour of Sundays sunset, next to no editing was done to the image. These were the only clouds in the sky, they all seemed to be drawn to the sun in a triangle formation.

... dommage que nous n'ayons pas visité la citadelle ...

Mais peut-être que ça marchera la prochaine fois!

Yet nor the lays of birds nor the sweet smell

Of different flowers in odour and in hue

Could make me any summer’s story tell,

Or from their proud lap pluck them where they grew;

Nor did I wonder at the lily’s white,

Nor praise the deep vermilion in the rose;

They were but sweet, but figures of delight,

Drawn after you, you pattern of all those.

I am drawn to this old suspension bridge in one of our local parks. I know when the best light is but, even better, I know its history as a WPA-build in 1938. I feel the pride of those workers every time I get down here with my camera and love taking it in b/w. A parks' colleague did replace the suspension cabling around 2000 or so.

I would have worked my way over to the lights, had it not been for the fence.

Previously unpublished 'b-roll' shot from April 2017. Wishing you all a super weekend of photography - stay safe out there in this crazy world.

Did this one for a very special Valintine's

Drawn in Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils on Winsor and Newton smooth cartridge paper. Thanks to Terence Porter for the ref pic.

People are drawn to both light and water. The combination relieves stress, clears the mind and soul and brings a complete sense of peace.

To me, including the lone silhouetted tree just seemed to seal the deal and ground this scene as well.

One of the great pleasures of moving to a new area is that you never know what you're going to see on any given day. Apparently, our neighbours take their draught horses out for sleigh rides!
