If you are ever in Milan go to the Church of St. Bernardino of the Bones, which is a few minutes walk from the Duomo. The small chapel is full of skulls and bones. Its quite an experience.
I had no time or opportunity to catch a decent shot of a live bird this week, but I did have time to sketch this little guy today at work. : )

Although I've turned down pet portraits in the past, the owner of this little chap (a beagle/pug cross known as a puggle) commissioned a coloured drawing rather than the full chocolate-box-oil-painting . I was pleased with the result, which puts 'Butler' in his home surroundings AND keeps my artistic integrity!
