This Great Blue Heron was re-arranging its feathers, and hit this position - reminded me of a western movie with the cowboys facing each other down, ready to draw!
CP 133 (CSX Z155) crosses over the Buffalo River Drawbridge for the Compromise Branch (now track 3 of the Buffalo Terminal Sub), however depending on the dispatch they seem to use the terms interchangeably.
I found the place, caught in open arms
When love's embrace mends a broken heart
Here I will stay for all my days

The Louvre did not accept (a lot of raining in North France) that the building floats in the middle of the meadow, so that to avoid a hard soil, the landscaper - C.Mosbach - decided to open it to life, playing with the recessed join, more or less large and holes. Link to the weather, the skin is opened to spontaneaous moss system and flowers, relaxation beaches around the museum.
The paths of the park consist of a thin layer of concrete pierced in multiple places for a naturalistic aesthetic and ensure the drainage of the whole. Large round slabs of smooth concrete perforated with filtering materials draw the reception permeable or impermeable.
An amazing number of different colours, (mostly shades of Green) in a grassy environment west of Penticton.
Drax power station. The only coal powered station still under power, but burning wood pellets imported from the US. Once the most powerful power station in the UK, producing 6% of the UK power. Many questions over its sustainable credentials...but it does make or a good photo.
A lot of dilapidated country barns hold one man's junk and another man's treasure as evidenced by this failing structure that serves as a parking spot for an old pickup and a cream separator and if you dared to venture further there is probably more items inside. Older people hold memories of how things were in the past and the wise younger person quietly draws them out.
Amtrak’s eastbound California Zephyr quietly crosses the large earthen fill leading down to Tunnel 16 at South Draw as the silvery passenger train catches some sunlight playing tag with clouds while dropping downgrade through the Tunnel District east of Crescent, Colorado, on the afternoon of April 24, 2019. No. 6 has nearly 30 track-miles to go before it reaches Denver Union Station out on the plains far below.

In the dense fog, palm trees and other plants draw their outlines in the air.

Just as I was about to flop down & enjoy a warm embrace with Nyxie—I heard the front door creaking open followed by the old worn floorboards in the house as footsteps draw near.
NS 4001 leads 15M across Draw in Buffalo, NY. Just under an hour on duty rare for them to already be going across the bridge.
Naturally b&w. I shot it from the car, on the final stretch home.
The zoom makes the vignetting (a bit too much I think).
On those heights he builds for himself tabernacles -- tabernacles of peace, there longs and loves and gazes across, until the welcomest of all hours draws him down into the waters of the spring --
- Novalis (1800)
PHOTO NOTE:
With a photo essay - like a photo book or zine - it is important to see each individual photograph in context with the rest of the series. In other words, the way I have laid out Hymns to the Night is not only to fit the quotes from Novalis' poem, but to relate each photo to the previous one and the one that comes after it. Nothing is random. So if you're just looking at an individual photo in your activities feed or a group, rather than my photostream, you are missing the point entirely!
