the contrast of these pink curtains and the abandoned house...

East Greenwich Cemetery, East Greenwich, RI

Not in love with the gather treatment for the dart excess at center-front, but I wanted to practice draping gathers. I do like the neckline adjustment here, though.

It can be a headache sometimes but Im getting use to it

True story: I had a massive brain fart and shot this while my lens was on manual focus. Hence the focus, but so it turned out, I was fond of it.

Today was a really lovely day, for some strange reason. I had two tests that I feel sure I aced, the weather was beautiful and volatile, and my emotion was rife with excitement and imagination. I started reading a new book, Paper Towns by John Green. I was able to visit with someone I care for very much and I hadn't spoken to in awhile.

PS: Check out The Felix Culpa! I just recently discovered them.

The trees were so heavy with just frost this morning ... it was a sight to behold! This is Hoarfrost.

There's a city, draped in net

Fisherman net

And in the half light, in the half light

It looks like every tower

Is covered in webs

Moving and glistening and rocking

Its babies in rhythm

As the spider of time is climbing

Over the ruins

+ draping. I posted this one previously but for some reason it was dubbed as "unsafe". As if one could die from looking at serpentine arms....

Draped bark = Dali | LSKS saw this and said the draped bark reminded him of the clocks in Salvador Dali's painting, the Persistence of Memory. | January 13, 2015 | Canon EOS 5D Mark III | ¹⁄₈₀ sec at f/8.0 1000

I got these drapes at an estate sale this weekend. They're in perfect condition besides the lining being a bit faded. I got 8 panels with very cool original bright yellow sheers with mod optic open mesh circle patterns (killer). Each drapery panel is about 4 feet wide with generous pleats X 7+ feet long. The entire rear of this house was covered with these drapes, wall to wall and I was fortunate enough to buy them all. This house was incredible, it looked like it had been shut up for 30 years or longer - no smoking, no wear to anything.

The back. There are so many goodies in the trim drawers that the staff keeps on hand for the drapes -- I wish we'd get to keep them! :) I made the back trim by layering the diamond beaded motif under the silver beaded circle, and then pinning a black shiny rose in the center.

The Tibetan version of a Hawaiian lei, I suppose

My master sitting area, which I love because I made the drapes, my own pattern and all. The red is silk, the other is so very heavy that i had to stop using the duvet to match. I re-made it into a throw, wherever that is. Thrown somewhere...
