I think I've IDd this one correctly. There were two basking next to the bike path this afternoon.

Eastern Water Dragon

This is a close up of the same dragon lizard. Their usual defence is to 'freeze' in the hope you haven't seen them. In this case I was happy to get my shots and depart - it never moved in that time - 30 seconds or so!
