At the Botanical Garden.

the infamous Canary Island tree is actually a member of the asparagus family!!

It gets it's name from its red sap and Greek mythology. For his 11th labour, Hercules had to bring back three golden apples from the garden of the Hespérides, which is guarded by Landon, the hundred-headed dragon. Hercules killed Landon and his blood flowed out over the land, which began to sprout ‘dragon’ trees - trees that exuded Dragon's blood.

Dragon Trees are now an endangered species found on the IUCN red listT, these are in the Jardin Canario

Avatar/mesh head - BeSpoke - Attor - Head, Dragon Hybrid. This wonderful head has many options to try. I'm wearing the brass toned skin with copper highlights. It comes in lots of colors, with male and female shapes, and the skins are EVOX and SLUV.

Cargo Dragon CRS-23 undocking last week, seen from the windows of its cousin Crew Dragon. Mixed emotions to think that the next such undocking from the Space Station will be... us! First though we welcome visitors this week and the next crew up here in their Dragon, looking forward to seeing you soon Tom, Kayla, Raja and Matthias – also known as Crew 3 and of course my good friend Anton!

So I built these guys a long time and forgot to upload them!

Hope you guys like em! :)

I came across a number of disassembled Chinese lanterns from the lantern festival in Vancouver. This was part of a dragon that was laying on the ground in 20 foot segments. Turns out I wasn't supposed to be there! Oops.

This is the Dragon Khan ride, in Port Aventura park, Catalonia. For years it was the emblem of the park, and it's name even got to be synonym of unstable times, in politics or whatever.

The details are in the smaller things of life.

These water dragons run around freely all over the zoo and are so used to people you really have to watch where you are going because if not you may just step on one.

Kibo and the two Dragons. Got a rare shot of two Dragons docked to one module, actually I think it might be the first picture like this – although this sight will certainly become more frequent. One is our own crew dragon "Endeavour" (top, pointing at Earth) the other one is Cargo Dragon that bought us the ice cream and much, much, science! Note shiny Columbus on the right. ESA's laboratory is easy to recognise from the outside because it is so shiny –it’s made in Italy 😉, unfortunately not many pictures can be taken of it from outside!

Having recently rediscovered all the old things I used to love as a child (from the Nineties), I recently had an overwhelming urge to build one of my favourite video game characters ever. Spyro the Dragon. This MOC is based on the appearance of classic Nineties Playstation 1 Spyro (not Skylanders Spyro, I wish classic Spyro would come back! Then I'd have a reason to buy a Playstation 4 :oP ). Built in LDD (was going to be a real-life model until I realised the lack of purple Technic and CCBS meant the end result would look nothing like Spyro) and rendered using Bluerender. The model took about 8 hours to build. And as a little extra, I've also built his faithful companion Sparx the Dragonfly, in his full health colours.

A dragon head at Pho Lak Mueang shrine, Sra Krachom, Thailand.

In Chinese shrines, dragons are highly significant as they symbolize auspiciousness, prosperity, protection, and power, often representing the ability to control water and bring rain, making them a potent symbol of good fortune and a deity to be revered at places of worship; essentially, seeing a dragon at a Chinese shrine signifies a powerful guardian spirit watching over the site and its visitors.

Photographed at one of the vendor booths while attending the Carolina Renaissance Festival in Huntersville, North Carolina, USA.

Don't be fooled by frozen dragons, their fire burns deep.
