My favourite fountain in Rome - in a city with quite a few of them - is this little thing. It is a dragon spouting water (which is drinkable, by the way). The fountain, which is actually one of a pair, is so small it does not even have a real name of its own, but the set is known as the "Fontanelle dei Palazzo Penitenzieri", that is "the small Palace Pentizenieri fountains". The palace (close to St Peter's) is a Renaissance palace where work began in the late 15th century, but the fountain is the heraldic emblem of Pope Paul V (born Camillo Borghese) who ruled the Papal state 1605-1621, so I think it is very safe to assume that the fountain also dates to this time too.
The upwelling of a lava flow created these plates called "dragon's teeth" all along the north rim of the peninsula at Makaluapuna Point, Maui, Hawaii. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz filters.
Dragon’s Teeth was formed as a result of one of the last lava flows from West Maui Volcano thousands of years ago. The lava flow met the intense ocean waves and strong sea winds causing it to jut upwards, cool, and harden, creating the jagged black rock appearance.
A Komodo Dragon at Chester Zoo.
Komodo dragons were first documented by Europeans in 1910, when rumours of a "land crocodile" reached Lieutenant van Steyn van Hensbroek of the Dutch colonial administration.
The first two live Komodo dragons to arrive in Europe were exhibited in the Reptile House at London Zoo when it opened in 1927.
Reaching up to 10 feet in length and more than 300 pounds, they are the heaviest lizards on Earth.

Miyamoto Hat - BANG.
No not a real dragon but it looks a bit like one to me. It is in fact the wreck of the Helvetia ship on Rhossili Beach. The ship was wrecked in a storm in 1887.
The new round of Aenigma, waltz of the Daemons, opens on the 19th!
These super cool dragon pose props are from Black Cats, and 5 different versions and mirrors, with a color change hud.

The bottom tip of a dragon's tail as it flew out of the sea, The mural continues up a few storeys, but I couldn't get a decent shot of it from where I was standing.

Two Dragons in the garden. The fluffy one was watching one of the neighbours dogs making a fuss at the fence. The other one preferred to pretend that he wasn't interested in the dog at all.
"I desired dragons with a profound desire. Of course, I in my timid body did not wish to have them in my neighborhood. But the world that contained even the imagination of Fáfnir [a dragon] was richer and more beautiful, at whatever the cost of peril."

I originally took this photo for the Happy Caturday group theme 'Profile View' yesterday but then chose the photo of Filou as I hadn't posted any capture of Filou on the group yet. As it's too dark for new cat photos today, the Dragon and his profile get a second chance.
Here’s another image from last week’s dragon shoot. I hope to get a chance to go back for more pictures when the sculpture looks more like a dragon. My previous upload has a picture of a finished product in the comments if you missed that. True works of art from old and scavenged metal.
Once again I wish I hadn't been so slapdash, and wish I had got my dragons in focus. Sometimes I just don't think! A wonderfully atmospheric time in the woods below Hen Cloud, The Roaches. Goblins in the mist!
One of the most famous sights in Da Nang and was opened in 2013. The 'dragon' breathes fire every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm
I often dreamt of dragons when I was younger. Not to be fierce and breathe fire, not to have a hoard of gold. I dreamt about their grace and wisdom.
Peter and Oleg are on their way to Mommy Marian.
OLEG:
We're almost there Peter! I'm so glad Bruno and Tomie are back home.
PETER:
We can now continue traveling with Mommy Marian.
Oh no...... What is that Oleg??
OLEG:
OMG....it looks like a dragon.
PETER:
Quick Oleg! we run away. It's not a nice place here.
OLEG:
Wait a minute, Peter. I think it's okay.
(They sit behind a bush)
OLEG: Look it's not a real dragon, but an inflatable dragon
PETER:
Pffff...... (wipes his paw over forehead).
No more adventure for a while Oleg. I am so tired.
OLEG:
Come on Peter, let's go
