Well the show is over and everybody took off. Some went to cruise nite meet and greets others went on home or to grab late nite grub.
Affectionately known as the "Dragnet Building" after the opening scene from the 1950's television series.
Slauson avenue and Western. I don't know what happen but as soon as I started flickin off pictures the Boyz n Blue showed up and made everybody go home. When I meet up with the classic truck, muscle car & street rod crowd we don't get hassled by the Man.
Police Facilities Building (a.k.a Parker Center) -- Welton Becket & Associates (1955).
Parker Center was prominent in the television show "Dragnet." Parker Center is facing demolition and I'm not sure where I stand on the issue. While the building has historical importance and I love its International Style design and the architect, perhaps something new would actually be for the best.
I was off in the distance taking pictures of other things when I scanned the area and saw this photographer and the lovely young lady. I was trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.... but DOH !! she saw me. Oddly enough she did not point me out. I could see he was trying to get her to look at his camera but she kept looking at my camera. I didn't stick around long at all. I took about 10 shots in a few seconds and moved out of view.
Central Park Playa Vista Amphitheater. Culver City / L. A. , Playa Vista / Westchester area. Some of the old helicopter / air plane hangers and buildings have been turned into film studios. Many new buildings and business park have been added.
