A Russian menu of draft beers with some funny English translations. Notice that Lager beer has become "Large" and that the Czech brewery Krušovice has been translated as "Crushovitza".
The place we had lunch was rather upscale, something these beer prices underline: A 0,5 liter draft beer of Krušovice Dark costs 250 rubel or 6 Euro (8 US Dollars)!

pattern: self-drafted from a RTW tee
fabric: cheap jersey from a sale grab bag from Girl Charlee, I think (while ago)
innards: used that triple stretch stitch on the inner seams; zigzags to sew the sleeve and bottom hems (hence a little gathering at the bottom hem, sigh, I think my zig-zag was set a little too skinny).
note to self: neckline was about 25", the length that wound up working for the next band was 19". yes, it probably took me as long to do the neck as to do the entire rest of the shirt! and at first I had zig-zag topstitched it as well but it gave it weird gathers so I ripped all that out, OH WHAT A PAIN to rip out tiny grey zig zags from grey fabric gaaahhhhh.
back story if you're still reading:
So first I bought the Seamly basic T pattern b/c I was convinced of its awesomeness by a million people on instagram….but it just did not fit me right. So then I printed out the Hey June Union Station t, a pattern I had bought a long time ago, but after I taped it together and compared it to the Seamly, I could see that the fit would be basically exactly the same.
So instead I pulled out one of my favorite t-shirts and traced it and viola, I wound up with a shirt that fits me far better than the muslins of the other pattern did. (I texted Silvia a million pictures throughout the process!)
yep that was roughly what i drew for the 3hr paper. with colour, duh hahaha oh but i chopped off the bed cause it was redundant, yknow, the main part is the maid and the mirror right hahaha
Draft of 9443 Rattlecopter. I'm pretty happy with this one. I got some sweet pieces, and a lot of things useful for SNOT.

Luck is still holding. In the second draft I've skimmed the trouser fit way down to a straight-leg jean, and taken out the darts while maintaining the fit of the waistline. There's a bit of a bubble in the upper sideseam, but I think that's a sharp curve that needs clipping to lie smoothly.
I wanted more of a boot leg, so next draft will some more skimming of the top to the knee and some messing around with trying to create a yoke at the waist without getting overwhelmed by seam allowances.
But I have to run out for a while and probably when I get back my lucky streak will be all over.
This was the table set up just before the draft began. Thanks to all the participants for being great sports and incredibly efficient, and for Ace and my wife for helping make this a successful, speedy draft!
