Nördlich von Darkehmen bilden der Drachenberg und der Kucklinsberg einen kleinen Höhenzug (bis 106 Meter). Die Landstraße 137 nach Insterburg führt am Drachenberg vorbei. Hier befindet sich ein kleines Wintersportgebiet.

Auf den Drachenberg bei Scherrewischken / Bruderhof (russ.Novo Gur'evskoe / Новогурьевское) fuhr man einst mit der Kutsche hinauf und dort gab es ein beliebtes, kleines Café. Heute steht hier ein Skihotel. Im Sommer finden um den Drachenberg und einen kleinen See Autorallyes statt.

Scherrewischken (1938–1946 Bruderhof, russ. Maloje Putjatino / Малое Путятино) gehört heute zur Landgemeinde Sodehnen. Die Ortschaft liegt nordöstlich der Kreisstadt Darkehmen beim Ausflugsgebiet Drachenberg (nördlich des Kallner Höhenzugs).

Beim Wirtshaus von Scherrewischken lag der Bruderhöfchensee und weiter westlich der

Köskeimer See. Bruderhof hatte 1939 155 Einwohner.

The sun was supposed to rise at 8:22 this morning but there was a thick layer of clouds at the time and no sun to be seen.

That's an unintentionally double exposure from two different positions on "Drachenberg" over Berlin. As the lens isn't coupled to the shutter in Mamiya Super 23 cameras I had to get used to instantly rewind after each photo otherwise I'll definitely forget.

That time it changed Berlin into a bit more than the tiny village it actually is.
