Im Sommer 1986 waren die E44 im Berufsverkehr auf der Strecke von Dessau nach Leipzig noch schwer beschäftigt. Hier fährt 244 137 am 17. Juli 1986 mit einem Personenzug nach Leipzig in Jessnitz (Anh.) ein. Kurz danach kam planmäßig ein Personenzug nach Dessau ebenfalls mit E44. This impressive memorial was erected in honour of Dr Henry Jephson. Henry Jephson set up a medical practice in Leamington in 1828. He believed that the local mineral springs had health giving properties. The surrounding gardens are named after him.
