The downside is that it is too thievable to be left on the mooring, so it would have to come with us. Many boats use Weaver snap davits on the swimming platform, and they work well on a straight sided inflatable dinghy, but would be difficult on the curved sides of the Walker Bay. After some hunting around on the Internet, I discovered that Weaver have developed an extension for the Walker Bay dinghy, and we became (we think) the first people to import this from the USA. Incredibly expensive, but it works well, even if it makes the dinghy heavier to handle on shore.
I must have had one too many, because everything seems upside down... And if I turn the glasses upright, the barman is upside down...
Gravity is a given. Its anchor is a constant force within constant spin. By changing our physical orientation in space, we may fundamentally upend, well, just about everything.
For Downside Up, Kristin Geneve Young will lead participants in challenging their senses of vision, equilibrium and proprioception. Balance tests, climbing exercises and aerial inversions will be used to focus the senses throughout the walk, inviting the group to respond to overlooked pockets of Midtown.
