Passing the ancient Clinchfield slide detector fence, time freight Q692 works through a reverse curve at Hill Station, Virginia on January 30, 2021. This downhill 0.275% grade extends all the way from Clinch Mountain Tunnel to Starnes (roughly ten miles).
NS train 155 rolls down 6th street with lot's of train in tow of a C40-9W in fresh paint! One strange thing we noticed is that the vehicle traffic lights continue their regular cycle rather than working in relation to the train blocking all intersections.
With dynamic brakes howling, Freeport-McMoRan's copper train glides down the steep grade between Morenci and the AZER interchange in Clifton. Out of view to my left, the AZER crew was rolling into the interchange yard at the same time. This place is such a perfect time capsule of classic industrial railroading that is absolutely worth a visit.
The engineer of South Shore Line train 9 cautiously guides his charge down 11th Street in Michigan City, Indiana. It won't be very long until he no longer needs to worry about street traffic and stoplights, as the track will be relocated off the street, ending over a century of interurban railway tradition.
Only saw this on Friday but I assume this is one of the downed trees in Bushy Park , Flickr friend Peter Denton said that having talked with a ranger at Bushy Park around forty trees were lost the storms just over a week ago , either Eunice or Franklin . Apart from the trees that had fallen , everywhere I looked there were twigs , branches and all sorts of tree debris laying on the ground throughout where I walked . Indeed it seemed the deer were quite intrigued by the carpet of fallen debris . Not visible in the shot but off to the left there was a herd of deer - I did not count them but it could have well gone into three figures !!

A local artist quietly informed my traveling companion and I that the best view of the city was from this bridge. We tested his theory at night, and ultimately agreed.
Rio Grande caboose No. 01483 trails a westbound merchandise train around the Soldier Creek Fill at Gilluly, Utah the morning of June 12, 1977.
Stay close. Wait for the trickle-down effect. You know that there is a very good reason, they say, that governments should help the rich to get richer even easier and much faster. Yes, it is the trickle-down effect. One day, eventually that is, some of the new wealth will trickle down into my watering can and make me rich too. I live in hope. And I am staying ever so close to my watering can. Helios 44M-7 manual lens at F2, one LED lamp.
Sometimes you can't help but show off that furry belly when you are playing hard with your good toys.

I am so happy for these groups that make us photograph the strangest things👏. I'm a bit tired of the usual things to photograph. Now it’s going to be some strange stuff inside and outside the groups😇Of course the regular ones too 😁
