some times my camera does crazy things with me , probably a problem of a absolut beginner like me:-)
Follow me down to the river tonight ...
Drink while the water is clean
Follow me down through the trees
Follow me down to the river, man
... I'll be down here on my knees

I made it out... I survived, somehow. Not somehow. I'd be dead if it weren't for Archie. But something keeps calling me back. I can always find a door back. It shows me where to find them. I just feel like I left a part of me there and I'll always feel upside down until I find it.

Part of a cascade of waterfalls called the Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle on the Isle Of Skye. This is my kind of weather.
Mile marker 203, the gas gauge leanin' on the edge of "E",
An' I'll be dang'd if the rain ain't pourin' down.
There's somethin' smokin' underneath the hood,
It's a-bangin' and a-clangin' an' it can't be good,
An' it's another fifty miles to the nearest town.
Everythin' I own's in the back in a hefty bag;
I'm outta cigarettes an' I'm down to my last drag.
I'd sure hate to break down here,
Nothin' up ahead or in the rear view mirror.
Out in the middle of nowhere, knowin'.
I'm in trouble if these wheels stop rollin'.
So, God help me, keep me movin' somehow.
Don't let me start wishin' I was with him now.
I made it this far without cryin' a single tear.
I'd sure hate to break down here.

This road leads through volcanic territory on a small island off Iceland. Heimaey, an island that lives from fishing. A volcano last erupted there in 1973, almost destroying the small town on the island. Parts of the town now lie under a layer of lava 8 metres high. So it's under the road in this photo.

This pied billed grebe was downing this fish as I arrived at the edge of Commonwealth Lake. I managed to get a shot before the fish became a lump in the neck.
"Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:
This city now doth, like a garment, wear
The beauty of the morning; silent, bare."
William Wordswort
when one looks down....the Panorama Point......this is what one sees.....
if u look closely one can see the little train taking a "U" turn.......also one can see Vikat Gad here.
'Stare Down'
The fox stares her amber glare,
Over a vulpine grin,
Wary ears twitching for sound.
Lavish fur
Scorns winter’s worst and
Proclaims prowess over prey.
Nose aquiver with the tang
Of the next mouse.
She sits briefly then
Fast feet fly,
White tipped tail flashes
The vixen!
Delicate paw prints,
Mark her interlude
In the undergrowth.

My back yard ... she has become a regular visitor. I have a composition and pose in mind but she is frustratingly uncooperative ... her modelling career is in jeopardy if she doesn't follow the photographer's directions more enthusiastically. :)
It was early morning and not a lot of light to work with, hence, the high ISO and the 'noise' that goes along with it.

I love the rock at the bottom of the falls. It's been worn down over the years and has little channels like small canyons carved through it's top. In some ways, it's a microcosm of the Sipsey itself.
This is the first waterfall you come to from the upper parking lot at the Sipsey Recreation area. It's about 200-300 yards on the right.
