The river Dart at Totnes..
From Wiki
"Totnes has a long recorded history, dating back to 907AD when its first castle was built; it was already an important market town by the 12th century. Indications of its former wealth and importance are given by the number of merchants' houses built in the 16th and 17th centuries."

More of the Friday night outing....
Now at this point, shining the big light at the red barns we could finally see what was making all the noise @ 1am in the morning.......3 crows were laying flat on the slant of the red barns roof, trying to sleep. They kept fluttering their wings and making little "bird" noises......which from any other angle we couldn't see. So walking down this road with weird noises in the night was at first pretty creepy. :0) Silly me!
One for the disbelievers out there, poor quality image but evidence of what this remarkable bird can manage to swallow.
Possibly zero access to Flickr (hopefully not!) I will be away soon, off to Snowdonia with my lovely sister Margaret. I won't be on much at all from Sunday 14th July for a few days. I hope to have time to show you a few photos from there in future, if I manage any good ones !
This was taken in Plantsbrook Nature Reserve - not Wales - at the very end of May. Amazing to think how lovely the weather was then, how much rain we've had since - and now it's 'changeable'. That's the UK for you - 'changeable' in most ways !
Take care of yourselves and have a lovely time everyone !
~ Done in Topaz Studio and PicMonkey for the final details ~
And for no reason at all, apart from the fact I love Joan Armatrading and this song, here is some music for you.

Thank you for looking - every view, comment and fave is really appreciated !
Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly with some wing damage overlooking the danger of taking nectar from a spiny Teasel flower-head.
I'm off to do some voluntary work today coppicing hazel for butterflies. The forecast is mixed with strong winds and rain so it should be fun. This is an old photo from a similar day of strong winds and rain. Rain Down Rain is by Holly Golightly. Occasional patches of Rain Down Sun would also be good :))
