Half eaten doughnut from Krispy Kream. Had to stop the kids to snap this shot before they ate the whole thing
Rikitake-san lives near a branch of Mister Donut, who apparently makes very small and very Japanese doughnuts.
It's pretty, eh? From King Wah Bakery for $0.60. I never tried a doughnut from a Chinatown bakery before so I figured, eh, I'm a pig. WHY NOT?

My dining companions stuck to the tamer options of salmon and steak. One gave me her truffle shavings so I'm not complaining. :)

A squiggle of royal icing is the perfect topper for these whole grain biscotti with an authentic "old fashioned doughnut and a coffee" flavour.

What can you say about this one?
It's a cream-filled, chocolate-dipped doughnut, in the shape of whomever you wish you could impale with a pretzel stick in the heart.
I wondered at first whether this still qualified as vegetarian, since it seemed a little cannibalistic. But I ate it with a clear conscience...except for the calories, maybe.
