Birthday card for a friend who is turning 4 soon. I tried to get as many dots into the design as possible- the border around the sentiment, the embellishments and of course, the stamping.

I used the backs of round stamps to create the stamped dots and a nestabilities die to cut the circle in the card front.

So beautifully uniform, the tiny sporangia on the back of this fern leaf reminded me of those candy dots I used to eat as a kid.

2012.gadā Nacionālajā aizsardzības akadēmijā tika atjaunota vēl viena Latvijas Kara skolas tradīcija -- Baltā nakts. Tas ir simbolisks pasākums, kuru, veiksmīgi izturot, kadetkanditātus uzņem akadēmijas kadetu saimē.

Balto nakti organizē vecāko kursu kadeti ar Krīvu padomes atbalstu. Baltās nakts svinīgais noslēgums notiek pie bijušās Latvijas Kara skolas ēkas, kur tiek dots kadeta solījums.

Līdz pat 100 jauniešu katru gadu tiek uzņemti Nacionālajā aizsardzības akadēmijā, kur pēc nopietnām studijām viņi kļūst par savas valsts armijas virsniekiem.
