Nothing can prepare you for moments like this, but you can at least try to be ready. An absolutely stunning sunset lit the sky above the Lighthouse Museum on Monhegan Island on our visit. I knew that I wanted to incorporate the iconic dory into my photo somehow, and using the boards as leading lines directly to a perfectly placed window and the old Keeper's House couldn't have been more effective. I love it here.

In all honesty I am not sure I like this shot, I think it could have been better but I have decided to upload it and see how I feel about it for a while.
Half the fishing boats have left the harbor, even though there is no lobstering going on right now. When they return, this is how the crew will get from mooring to shore. Meanwhile, the landscape photographer's watchword prevails: If you see something red, shoot it (as told to me by Dwight Hall).
YAY!!! *squeals* I bought a goldfish today!!! ^___^ Her name is Dory. :) And don't ask how I know that it's a girl...I couldn't tell ya. XD
The "James J. Cronin", a 1938 wooden dory, sits tied up at dock waiting for someone to take her on an adventure. The boat is part of the fleet from the Francisco Rowing Club.

This is the owner of Hunky Dory Vintage, a vintage clothing store on Brick Lane in East London. They reopened yesterday, and he was telling us that his local council have been a massive help in supporting his business during the lockdown. His landlord also agreed to a rent-break, so he' reasonably positive about the future.

Strictly speaking a Dory is a small flat bottomed fishing boat with a high prow. So there's a bit of artistic licence in the title, which sounds more romantic than "Dinghy."
