Newspaper illo mockup for our illustration class. The paper is the weekend issue of the german Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
“Dope,” a slang term used for cola drink, probably came from the once popular belief that coke contained small amounts of cocaine or from its thick medicine-like consistency. In its heyday, there were Dope Shops on East Campus in the Crowell Building and on West in the basement of the Union. The opening of the Bryan Center in1982 with a new array of food services marked the end of this campus tradition.

As a Dynamic Media Evangelist it's my duty to keep challenging myself as I go into the depths of my artistic creativity, I decided that I am not doing enough with the powers of my creative mind so I decided to go back to basics and use my skills to let art flow from me instantly without taking steps back, as if using computer software to create live forms of art without trying to fix and perfect things, I used to be much more free in my youth, mainly because I didn't know what I was doing, after many years of eating art and media I have become a perfectionist and turned my attention to details to an obsession, here I am going to try to break lose of that...smash it and drop it like it's hot, literally!

A beautiful manicured park in front of the Palais du Rhin in the middle of Strasbourg. We walked through it often on our way into town.
In the park was one of those cultivated kitchen garden patches that are often planted to 'connect' the community with its public spaces.
...but hang on a minute - what's that in the middle of the vegies? Yes, it definitely is! Dope!! Seems some wag had decided to take advantage of the cultivated and tended patch to grow a few recreational herbs - now that's connecting a community!
